A certain bias and political tendentiousness has been detected in some of the sources of information on which various statements made in this biography are based. Some headlines in links that are offered as a reliable source are exaggeratedly negative or not always give enough support to some of the statements written about the person who is the subject of the biography. Plus, these headlines come from media with a known ideological affiliation opposite to his.
For this reason, the quality and neutrality of these sources of information should probably be reviewed, to improve the quality and reliability of the article, since it refers to a relevant person at a political and media level, who also presents a political project for the elections to the European Parliament. 90.167.219.125 (talk) 11:30, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Squirrel's Army Please, stop enlarging unnecessarily the lead. In what concerns to the sources, I must say that elDiario.es is a reliable source which, despite being biased to the left, should be taken into account. I am particularly concerned that these edit are organized attemps to promote this figure. Basque mapping (talk) 11:48, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can understand your arguments but perhaps you should be more concerned of the fact that, when reviewing some of the publications of elDiario.es among others, beyond some biased (sometimes inflammatory) headlines and writing in the body of the news with subjective oppinions or appreciations, there is poor support for some of the affirmations made about him; for example, some related to an alleged islamophobia.
Plus, while judicial actions on which he has been involved are still in course and have not received yet a final and non-appealable sentence (as that of the Supreme Court of Spain that I cited), this should be clarified instead of only remarking non-firm sentences, as that could be understood as organized attempts to damage his reputation (using your same logic).
@Squirrel's Army I'd ask you to discuss any new change in the talk before making it, but I'll try now to adress every change you've made:
There's too much redundant information and the magazine you use as source to taks about the Koldo case seems pretty obscure, thus I propose merging the last two paragraphs into something like this: "Since the COVID-19 pandemic, he has become a leading figure of the alt-right movement in Spain thanks to his activity on social networks, which consists of publishing information about alleged illegality committed by Spanish politicians and journalists. Many of those exclusives have turned out to be fake news, which has led him to be sued and fined several times, whereas other trials have resulted in his acquittal."
In the paragraph about his controversial tweets you changed "insults" for "attacks" and "Islamophobic commentaries" to "other polemic commentaries". I think it's indeed obvious that those were insults and in the case of Islamophobic commentaries I propose using "allegedly Islamophobic commentaries" to be more neutral.
Javier Negre is a far-right per this sources: [1][2][3]
You added unnecessary information about the Rubiales affair that you can find in the main article. According to that article in was a "forced kiss". The text should be the following: "On 13 December 2023 Pérez published in his YouTube channel the first interview with former president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation Luis Rubiales since his forced kiss to Jenni Hermoso. Pérez himself had leaked a video of the footballers celebrating their victory in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup and commenting the kiss in a joking and casual tone, which lead to the suspension of his X (formerly Twitter) account."
In the paragraph about Ana Pastor I would change this: "In February 2024, the Supreme Court of Spain annulled the sentence establishing that his statements "were supported by an adequate factual basis" and sentenced Pastor to bear the costs of the trial. Moreover, the Provincial Court of Madrid ordered him in July 2023 to pay €10,000 in damages to Pastor for publishing a picture of Pastor having dinner at a restaurant with her husband.. Finally, after four years of litigation, the Supreme Court of Spain ruled in favour of Pérez, forcing the journalist Ana Pastor to bear the costs of the trial."
Not needed to detail "because those null procedural actions would have generated defenselessness in the accused"
Alvise was a volunteer (becario) at the Cervantes. He was never employed and paid for his work. He was the porter of building from 5pm to 8pm, and also ran the social media of the Institute's office in Leeds. It is very misleading to say that he worked as a consultant. 81.109.149.179 (talk) 21:50, 9 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
