Name change

I just stumbled here using Random article - if you mention the name was changed, why not tell us what the name originally was? If I had to guess, I would say it was just "Acton," but I shouldn't have to guess! John (Jwy) 16:38, 9 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Map

Question

Coming from Willesden Junction station there are two 'distinctive noises' as the power system changes - in which order do the two 'power collectors' (pantograph and third-rail contact) move downwards? Jackiespeel (talk) 16:37, 21 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks - and, sitting under the collector (ie inside the train) the first 'clunk' South Acton wards is definitely as the train is coming to a halt (and can make people jump). Jackiespeel (talk)

Scheduled for closure by Beeching but didn't
