On 7 January 2025, it was proposed that this article be moved from 2025 Xizang earthquake to 2025 Tibet earthquake. The result of the discussion was moved.

Tibet Earthquake 2025

2025 Xizang earthquake → 2025 Tibet earthquake – English-language reliable sources widely label this as a "Tibet" earthquake, not Xizang. "Xizang" does not seem to be the WP:COMMONNAME in English for the region. Examples of sources stating as such: BBC, The Guardian, NBC News, Deutsche Welle, The Independent, CNN, The New York Times, ABC News, The Tribune, CNBC, Australian Broadcasting Service, The San Francisco Chronicle, Bloomberg, Barron's, RTE, Deccan Herald, ANI News, Al Jazeera, The Sydney Morning Herald, Associated Press, France 24, BNO News, etc.

Weak Support as news agencies are describing it as such. As far as I can tell, only seismological agencies (EMSC, USGS) are calling it Xizang. More people would read news than go onto seismological organizations' sites.
