Fix registered parties

[edit]

I have come across a formatting error in the registered parties subheading. The editing prompt looks entirely different to that of the public view. Sahaz1505 (talk) 02:36, 19 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Electoral division maps

[edit]

Someone needs to update the electoral division maps to reflect the redistribution. It would be good if someone could make the OSM maps that exist on three NT electorate pages already (Araluen, Braitling and Katherine).

I know this page isn't monitored but if someone could reply that would be good. The election is in August and it's already June. Schestos (talk) 01:00, 10 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Schestos: I'm having trouble finding the shapefile for the new boundaries so a help in that would be appreciated. –twotwofourtysix(talk || edits) 10:52, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Here's a .kml file which is similar. Schestos (talk) 12:17, 15 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It looks somewhat low-resolution when zoomed in to Darwin but I can try. –twotwofourtysix(talk || edits) 04:05, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
 Done. –twotwofourtysix(talk || edits) 04:15, 28 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

2024 Northern Territory general election2024 Northern Territory legislative election – Similar to the discussion happening right now at Talk:2024 Australian Capital Territory general election, I agree with the logic of @TheLoyalOrder and @Aydoh8 that "'general election' is usually used for countrywide elections such as the UK (see 2024 United Kingdom general election), while legislative election (or state election for states) is usually used for subnational elections"

This would apply for all elections in Category:Elections in the Northern Territory since 1974, excluding local elections

I note there's debate happening on whether to remove the word "legislative" for the ACT elections and just have it as "Australian Capital Territory election", however given the NT has local government (see 2021 Northern Territory local elections) I think "2024 Northern Territory legislative election" is the best new name Totallynotarandomalt69 (talk) 04:54, 20 October 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Safari ScribeEdits! OPPOSE If all Australian elections are named similarly, why do we need to change it. It is easier when you have multiple elections and the only change is the location and year. It makes it easier to sort and all links have to be changed. It is easier to keep it the same. 110.33.48.17 (talk) 10:14, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose Sahaz1505- As per the Electoral Commission website the only name is the "Northern Territory election" (https://ntec.nt.gov.au/elections/current-elections/2024-territory-election). This should be the only name — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sahaz1505 (talkcontribs) 01:27, 21 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
