Schedule Just Came Out

[edit]

Would someone please set up the schedule for the 2016 Green Bay Packers because I don't know how to do it. The schedule just came out today. Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 02:57, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Will be done by someone. Kante4 (talk) 03:59, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I was bored before work... what can I say. Cheers, —  dainomite   14:54, 15 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Game stats format

[edit]

@Kante4: You'll forgive me if I say I don't care that the format you reverted to is used by the Denver Broncos articles; the fact that a particular format is used by another article is irrelevant for the most part. The fact is, we have very little consistency between NFL team season articles, so the fact that one resembles another while there are several other styles out there is largely moot. I will, however, explain why I believe at least some of the changes I've implemented are worth keeping. Leaving aside – for the reasons I mentioned earlier – the fact that this format is used on the Minnesota Vikings season articles, the grammar is better for one thing. For example, there shouldn't be a comma before "(Mason Crosby kick)" since it is grammatically unnecessary. I've also removed the leading zeroes from times lower than 10:00. Times are not displayed with leading zeroes on game clocks, nor in the official NFL game books (see here). Obviously for times between 0:59 and 0:00, the leading zero has been left on, but they're not necessary for times between 9:59 and 1:00. I've also fixed capitalisations when it comes to "Yards", "Car" and "Rec". You may ask why I removed the Top Tacklers – I agree, defense is an important part of a team – but the reason is that they're not listed on the "Quick Take" section of the official NFL.com game recaps (see here). You may also ask why we don't list the two best rushers and receivers for each team, but that's not really practical here. Other changes are simply stylistic, adopted from the Vikings article, but if you're just objecting to those because the Denver article doesn't display info that way, then I would point you in the direction of the general NFL season articles, e.g. 2015–16 NFL playoffs, which display game stats in exactly the same way as the Vikings articles. I look forward to reading your reply. – PeeJay 02:15, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is a reply that i can live with. And it is fair and ok for me. Kante4 (talk) 03:57, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Glad to hear it. I would like to try to standardise all 32 teams, but it's difficult when some teams don't even have the stats filled in week by week, while others are wildly inconsistent. Personally, I would love to see all the teams fall into line with the general NFL season articles, but it's a monumental task with which I could use some assistance. If you are a Green Bay fan (well, I suppose someone's got to be...), would you mind helping out with standardising the Packers articles while I go back through the Vikings seasons and chip in with other teams too? – PeeJay 20:26, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Also, if there are any improvements you would make, I would love to hear about them. Perhaps this is a discussion we should have at WT:NFL? – PeeJay 20:28, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Good idea but I do other things instead. Not that interested in the past seasons, sorry. We should concentrate on the present and trying to get this going. Btw, is the number for the referee needed? Kante4 (talk) 20:30, 22 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Not necessarily, but it's only a maximum of six extra bytes of info per game, which translates to a maximum of 144 extra bytes per season, and since Wikipedia isn't a paper encyclopedia and it's not getting in the way of anything else, I don't see any reason not to keep it. – PeeJay 17:53, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Seems just odd to me and really not needed. Kante4 (talk) 18:03, 23 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Texans Packers announcers

[edit]

Is there any proof that Nantz and Simms will call Texans Packers? Ashbeckjonathan (talk) 04:34, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
