Edit Request

[edit]

Mr.Z-bot has been on-and-off for quite a while. Could the link either be changed to User:DatBot/filters.js, which is currently going through the BRFA process or the line removed? Dat GuyTalkContribs 10:37, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed the line. Please come back when Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/DatBot 3 is up and running. -- zzuuzz (talk) 10:42, 6 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Zzuuzz: As it is functioning in trial, could you please change the link to what I said above? It would help advance the trial and factor results in a quicker fashion. Dat GuyTalkContribs 20:00, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Does it really affect the trial? Not being funny, but I don't see the point in advertising a bot which isn't currently doing what we will be saying it does. When it reports to AIV, then I will write on the page that it reports to AIV. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:05, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You don't need to say that it reports to AIV. Just say that it is for the trial (or similar). It does really affect the trial. The more potential hits, the faster we go through 150 edits per request here, the faster it starts reporting to AIV and UAA. Dat GuyTalkContribs 20:09, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
But having the list advertised isn't going to speed anything up. The Z-man bot list hasn't been updated in six months. It's not going to drastically change. -- zzuuzz (talk) 20:13, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sure. I made a post at EFN, but its pretty dead. Dat GuyTalkContribs 20:18, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Not sure if this is worth anything, but DatBot is in fully-functioning trial for reporting to AIV and UAA. Dat GuyTalkContribs 22:13, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

to

<p>'''If you cause problems, you may have your edit filter manager permission revoked.'''</p>

If you cause problems, you may have your edit filter manager permission revoked. => If you cause problems, you may have your edit filter manager rights revoked.

My reasoning is that most permissions here are referred to as "user rights", and so this interface page should reflect that as well. Deauthorized. (talk) 00:37, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: I think the use of the word permission is a reference to WP:PERM, which seems reasonable to me. Izno (talk) 21:56, 5 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
