Media Serbisyo Production Corporation (MSPC) is a Philippine production company owned by Prime Media Holdings, Inc. and ABS-CBN Corporation under a joint venture agreement.[1][2][3][4]

History

[edit]

On May 23, 2023, ABS-CBN Corporation announced that the company will enter into a joint venture agreement with Prime Media Holdings, owned by House Speaker Representative Martin Romualdez.[5] The new venture company will produce and supply various programs including news content to broadcasters and third-party entities, including Philippine Collective Media Corporation (PCMC). Along with it are plans to operate a radio station on ABS-CBN's former frequency 630 kHz (previously known as DZMM), and managing the Filipino-language cable news channel TeleRadyo (which was originally intended to cease its broadcast on June 30, but was abruptly cancelled and reduced to closing out most of its old concurrent programs instead). On June 26, 2023, 630 kHz conducted a test broadcast under the DWPM callsign. The station and its TV counterpart had its soft launch on June 30 as Radyo 630 and TeleRadyo Serbisyo and officially launched on July 17, therefore, their company Media Serbisyo Production Corporation was launched on June 30, 2023.[6][7]

MSPC plans to expand into digital space while working longer hours.[8] Since the start of the collaboration, MSPC has witnessed a growth in the viewership on their pay television channel, TeleRadyo Serbisyo.[9]

On May 27, 2024, TeleRadyo Serbisyo commenced airing on digital free TV via Prime TV on BEAM TV's subchannel. Prime TV is owned by Prime Media Holdings thru Philippine Collective Media Corporation.[10]

On July 1, 2024, coinciding with the stations first anniversary, the station had a minor schedule revamp and expanded its programming to round-the-clock.[11]
