Aramu (Persian: ارمو)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Aramu Rural District of the Central District of Darreh Shahr County, Ilam province, Iran.[4]

[edit]The village is populated by Kurds.[5]
Population
[edit]At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 2,408 in 501 households.[6] The following census in 2011 counted 2,516 people in 619 households.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the village as 2,383 people in 665 households. It was the most populous village in its rural district.[2]
