Ziabar Rural District (Persian: دهستان ضیابر)[3] is in Ziabar District of Sowme'eh Sara County, Gilan province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Chakuvar.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Ziabar.[5]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of the Central District) was 11,387 in 3,234 households.[6] There were 10,939 inhabitants in 3,416 households at the following census of 2011.[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 9,866 in 3,374 households. The most populous of its 33 villages was Ziabar, with 3,603 people.[2]

After the census, the rural district was separated from the district in the formation of Ziabar District.[4]
