Zarabad-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان زرآباد غربي)[3][a] is in Karvan District of Zarabad County, Sistan and Baluchestan province, Iran.[5] Its capital is the village of Eslamabad-e Lash (Lash).[6]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as Zarabad Rural District[b] of the former Zarabad District of Konarak County) was 8,997 in 1,998 households.[7] There were 8,614 inhabitants in 2,161 households at the following census of 2011.[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 8,983 in 2,407 households. The most populous of its 50 villages was Suru, with 1,372 people.[2]

After the census, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Zarabad County. The rural district was transferred to the new Karvan District and renamed Zarabad-e Gharbi Rural District.[5]
