Wikipedia talk:WikiProject National Register of Historic Places/100 top importance

This is a page to discuss the 100 NRHP or NHL sites that are subjectively rated as TOP importance in project WP:NRHP. We can start simply by trying to find the 2 "most important" sites in each of the 50 states, realizing that NHL sites may NOT always be more important than NRHP sites and that the "final" list need not have 2 per state.

TOP importance

[edit]

This section should only contain sites that are firmly agreed upon.

Possibilities

[edit]

Place comments/!votes below the proposed site. If there is general agreement on a certain site, promote it to the above section. Examples should ideally cover a variety of types, not just government buildings and homes of famous people.

I don't agree with the creation of this article. While yes, it would be beneficial to add more about the NHL listing itself, I think this information would better be served in the Remembrance section of the massacre article. There are already too many stubby NHL articles that should more than likely be merged with bigger articles (e.g Dancing Rabbit Creek Treaty Site/Treaty of Dancing Rabbit Creek); one more is not going to solve this. If, however, there ends up being tons of information about the site specifically (I suspect much of the NHL nom is about the massacre itself), it can be split out dude to WP:Summary Style, but until we get that much information, that new article should remain a redirect. Not every NRHP listing needs its own article, you know...--Dudemanfellabra (talk) 03:00, 19 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
