Massachusetts Lists
I'm thinking of spending a little time cleaning up some of the Massachusetts article. I'd like to create "see also" lists for National Park Service sites, famous people (Musicians, inventors, political figures, authors and poets etc.) or merge them with the categories already created. Any thoughts????????--Pmeleski 14:28, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

History of Dedham
I've created two new articles History of Dedham, Massachusetts, 1635 - 1792 and History of Dedham, Massachusetts, 1793 - 1999. If anyone would like to add to them, or edit them, I'd appreciate it. --Briancua 02:30, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
Does anyone in Western Mass...
...have/know of a free photo of the Cheshire Cheese Press monument that I can put in Cheshire Mammoth Cheese. I figure with the recent snowstorm, it's hard to get a good photo, but if someone ehre had one they'd be willing to toss along, that'd be awesome. Thanks! --badlydrawnjeff talk 02:45, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

History of Lowell, Massachusetts
I wrote an article about the History of Lowell, Massachusetts and so far I haven't had many edits to it other than typo corrections. Any edits or comments would be appreciated, since this is my first sizable article, and the topic is a pretty heavy one. Thanks, CSZero 15:45, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Related, I wrote the Greater Lowell article, and was looking for more editors. There have been a few other than me, but right now I would like to come to some semblance of a concensus about what towns do and don't belong, please see the related talk page. Thanks a ton, CSZero 17:13, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
Article Plymouth Colony needs some extra help to reach Featured status
I have been a major editor at the article Plymouth Colony, and have also nominated the article for featured status at WP:FAC. Some of the reviewers have noted that the article is close to passing, but could use some additional copyediting from other editors, so I am asking here that if there is anyone interestedm could they please help out where they can, either in editing the article Plymouth Colony or in making comments at WP:FAC. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help out with this. --Jayron32|talk|contribs 16:42, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
Photo request
Looking for any Massachusetts photographers willing to shoot and upload to Commons for Connected farm, as Massachusetts seems to be one of the primary locales for such style of home. Thanks in advance and if you could reply on my talk page as well that would be great. IvoShandor 09:20, 19 April 2007 (UTC)
Boston FAR
Boston has been nominated for a featured article review. Articles are typically reviewed for two weeks. Please leave your comments and help us to return the article to featured quality. If concerns are not addressed during the review period, articles are moved onto the Featured Article Removal Candidates list for a further period, where editors may declare "Keep" or "Remove" the article from featured status. The instructions for the review process are here. Reviewers' concerns are here. Marskell 12:13, 29 April 2007 (UTC)

List of counties in Massachusetts has the same size/area for every county in the table. This needs to be corrected.

Salem witch Trials
Dear Markles and other members,
I have been talking to a couple other wikipedians and we would like to create a Salem witch Trials task force, if that is okay with all of you from the Massachusetts Wikiproject.
Please get back to me with your thoughts on this idea.
Thank you very much for your attention to this matter.
Sincerely,
Psdubow 21:01, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
CC of reply on Markles talk page: Sure. Good idea! Markles 21:47, 24 May 2007 (UTC)
The Salem Witch Trials Taskforce has been created, please check it out: Wikipedia:WikiProject Massachusetts/Salem Witch Trials Task Force!
People
Do people born in Massachusetts fall under this project. The people I'm thinking about are NBA Executives Sam Presti and Rich Gotham. Thanks BH (T|C) 17:35, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
Assessments needed!
It is pretty bad that out of 826 articles in this WikiProject, 774 are unassessed. There are only 10 B-Class articles in the project, whereas other state WikiProjects of similar article proportions have over 100. Article assessments are really needed. Many Massachusetts articles are definitely worthy of B-class assessments. Raime 07:47, 25 July 2007 (UTC)
- I would like to start helping with assessments. Could you just give a quick overview of how to attach the assessment to the article? Found5dollar (talk) 21:56, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
Massachusetts Minutemen and Beacons
Hey, I checked the sports pages at Wikipedia, and I can't seem to find any articles on the Minutemen or Beacons (men's and women's college basketball teams). Can someone help create articles about these Division I and III teams? Thanks, --DFW 18:51, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

To-do list
This is not a criticism of anyone in particular, but the to-do list would be more helpful if (a) we all updated it more often, and (b) we all pitched in suggestions on how to accomplish these tasks. Herewith, mine:
- Standardize city and town articles -- Pray tell us how. The infoboxen have already been standardized (quite a few times); a lot of editors have gone through and added empty categories to encourage development of other standardized content (schools, points of interest, etc.). Anything else that needs to be done? Speak up, guys.
- Boston neighborhoods -- What does it mean to "create a section"? A section where? On this talk page? As a category page? On the portal? Without a link (even a redlink) I find it difficult to understand what's being requested.
- Newspapers -- My own pet project. All the dailies are done except Westfield Evening News -- Pioneer Valley editors, please help! (no Website for this publication, and for whatever reason The Republican/the Union-News doesn't seem to report on its competitors the way the Boston and Worcester papers do). Which brings us to the weeklies: There are way too many of them, and way too many of them are nonnotable, for us to be writing articles about "all Massachusetts newspapers". My own suggestion -- in a set of proposed guidelines I prepared for WikiProject Journalism -- is to write articles about weekly publishers, which reduces the number of articles needed (although it's still a lot). Just my two cents and trying to jumpstart the discussion, folks. ``` W i k i W i s t a h ``` 05:35, 3 September 2007 (UTC) ... p.s.: this page was getting ridiculously long so I took the liberty of setting up talk archives. Hope this doesn't inconvenience anyone.
If anybody is interested they probably should comment at the link above. This is an article about one of Lincoln's first American ancestors and early settler in Massachusetts that might be on the verge of deletion. Tom (North Shoreman) 00:13, 10 September 2007 (UTC)
