Finish creating tables
[edit]Need to finish creating tables, there should be more program in the list of KDE application, all should be rated and the KDE 4 Tech ones should be rated, I might do it tomorrow.
KDE4 Soprano
[edit]All I know about Soprano is that it is a C++/QT based interface for RDF, anyone have a better idea of what it is, or have a link to information on it? That really isn't enough to wright an article about it.vendion (talk) 11:48, 20 December 2007 (UTC)
Screenshots/icons should be updated for 4.0
[edit]After all one of the most noticeable parts of KDE4 will be the visual refresh. Ideally we should make all programs possible have the icon, and then a screenshot of it in action below (like the Firefox page for example). Since the Oxygen team made all icons in svg we can get a nice big icon easily, make sure to talk to one of them in irc about licensing of icons. Wikipedia still has the "screenshot of open source software" option on images right? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Skeith (talk • contribs) 02:16, 23 December 2007 (UTC)
- I don't know if they do or not, it would be nice to know though. vendion (talk) 06:28, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Need more people
[edit]As you can probably tell I haven't really done anything in a while, kinda busy with exams coming up, and with any luck I;'ll have a job by summer, so I can't really be active (not that I was active BEFORE I got busy). I never really expected this project tio take off, and I was right. If anyone knows of a good way to get more members here let me know. Happysmileman (talk) 17:05, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Userbox
[edit]In the spirit of getting more people through advertising (sort of), I made a userbox for the project. I'm a bit new around here and all, so constructive criticism is always welcome. Unforgiven24 (talk) 05:03, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
- Looks nice! I'm not very familiar with creating templates/userboxes, but if anyone who is has some way to turn your draft into a functional userbox, that would be nice. - Ewald (talk) 19:29, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- It ought to be ready to use as it is, actually. It's on my user page right now. Just put {{Wikipedia:WikiProject_KDE/Userboxes/KDE_Project}} in a page, and there you have it. Welcome to the group, by the way, too.- Unforgiven24 (talk) 20:31, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- Ey, it does indeed work! :) Thanks for welcoming me, I hope to contribute where I can. - Ewald (talk) 02:43, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- It's been quiet for the month or two since I got here. Actually, other than me, it's been entirely silent. Let's hope we can spark some more activity around here. Unforgiven24 (talk) 02:44, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
- It is indeed very quiet, a litle too quiet if you ask me. Especially since there are quite a few KDE pages with a poor lay-out and little content. Even though my free time is limited, I'll focus some of my Wikipedia work on KDE when I can. - Ewald (talk) 08:05, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
- That's all I've been doing, too. I recently created the KPilot article, but that's my largest contribution so far. I'm not a huge KDE developer or anything, merely a user, so I only really know anything about the apps I happen to use. I've been trying to come up with improvements to the plethora of stub articles, but I find it a bit difficult to write paragraph upon paragraph on what amount to small, single-purpose programs. Comment on the WikiProject X proposal
[edit]Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
WikiProject X is live!
[edit]Hello everyone!
You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.
