Another editor and I are working on this article which is part of your project (I think) and we do not agree on what is and is not a copyright violation on the page. Much of the text can be find on other websites and what is and isn't a copyright violation isn't always clear. In my opinion, it's starting to look like we're not going to come to a conclusion so I'd like to ask editors here to contribute to the page and/or the conversation regarding the text. Any help with the article would be greatly appreciated. OlYellerTalktome 05:09, 12 October 2010 (UTC)

WikiProject cleanup listing
I have created together with Smallman12q a toolserver tool that shows a weekly-updated list of cleanup categories for WikiProjects, that can be used as a replacement for WolterBot and this WikiProject is among those that are already included (because it is a member of Category:WolterBot cleanup listing subscriptions). See the tool's wiki page, this project's listing in one big table or by categories and the index of WikiProjects. Svick (talk) 20:59, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Space Ghost Coast To Coast Episodes
Is it okay if I fix this? The episode list is wrong, for example Brilliant Number Two is listed as Episode 56 when it is really Episode 44b
I think this needs to be changed since the Alternate Versions of Fire Ant and Snatch aren't listed as seperate episodes

I have noticed that Knowledgekid87 (talk · contribs) have removed all the air dates from List of The Powerpuff Girls episodes, because it claims to be unsourced. If The Moxy Show (1993), Space Ghost Coast to Coast (1994) and What a Cartoon! Show (1995), produced by Hanna-Barbera, are the original series, why The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest (1996) and Cave Kids (1996) aren't? This two shows original aired on Cartoon Network, so maybe we should added this to article? FanCN (talk) 10:48, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
I found opening of TRAoJQ with inscription "Cartoon Network Presens" in show logo. [1] FanCN (talk) 11:54, 3 December 2010 (UTC)
- Depends. Some shows were originally produced by Hanna-Barbera or Cartoon Network Studios. Some series like The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest and Cave Kids were originally produced by Hanna-Barbera, not by Cartoon Network or Cartoon Network Studios. Non-Cartoon Network Studios and Hanna-Barbera productions like Ed, Edd n Eddy were originally produced by AKA Cartoon, and Courage the Cowardly Dog were originally produced by Stretch Films. Semi active project
Since July 19, 2010, I've have restarted the Cartoon Network as semi active. Last year, Baa, aka Treelo, has deiced to tagged this project inactive because of lack of membership and it has brought to a standstill. Now I've have restated the since then, and renamed from Cartoon Network (United States) to Cartoon Network as a main article. I have revamp the project similar almost to WikiProject The Simpsons, WikiProject Lost and WikiProject Family Guy. The peer review, collaboration, jumpaclass and newsletter is currently inactive after I tried to listed at WP:MFD. JJ98 (Talk) 10:14, 5 January 2011 (UTC)
Ben 10 Task Force
I think it will be a good idea to make a Ben 10 task force because a lot of the Ben 10 articles need major clean up. If I create it, will anyone else join it? JDDJS (talk) 23:46, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
- Good idea, since this WikiProject has been semi-active, we have only seven members in this project, it might be time to create one just like Adult Swim task force. JJ98 (Talk) 23:49, 9 January 2011 (UTC)
Dead
Since WikiProject Cartoon Network is no longer active, I think it is time to list this project as inactive since there is no activity, and no new membership. It might be better if the Cartoon Network WikiProject would likely merged and become a task force of WikiProject Television or WikiProject Animation. JJ98 (Talk) 10:11, 4 February 2011 (UTC)

Airdates need sources!
A few days ago, this video was brought to attention on the I Am Weasel talk page. It seems to be an old CCF promo for new episodes of six different shows coming on November 26, 1999 (pause at :51 to see a brief glimpse of the date). The thing is, until someone mentioned this video, the article listed IMW's end date as September 16, later found to be the last day of episode production. So, what does this mean? Well, the other five shows don't exactly match up with this date either:
- List of Courage the Cowardly Dog episodes - episode #3 matches (unsourced)
- List of Ed, Edd n Eddy episodes - closest airdate is Nov. 29 (unsourced)
- List of Johnny Bravo episodes - closest airdate is Nov. 19 (TV.com is source)
- List of Mike, Lu & Og episodes - episode #3 matches (unsourced)
- List of The Powerpuff Girls episodes - no airdates at all (due to lack of sources)
To put it simply, our airdate sources suck, and the problem needs to be addressed to the whole work group. Any help finding reliable sources would be appreciated. Paper Luigi Talk • Contributions 21:17, 1 June 2011 (UTC)
- Yeah, I know, there's a bunch of tons of unsorced Cartoon Network articles which are poorly sourced. I would consult at WP:TV to ask any questions for unsorced dates. JJ98 (Talk) 10:07, 8 June 2011 (UTC)
Well, after two months we just know that I Am Weasel was originally aired at least until November 26, 1999. In these two months I have searching for more sources, but the only one I found is this page which says that the series original airing ended in November 1999. Yes, the source is a fan site, so it can't be used as a reference in the article, but is at least something and I think it can be useful as a basis for our discussion. Inox talk 18:56, 10 August 2011 (UTC)
- I agree, please contact Paper Luigi for the information, also, why don't you join WP:ANIMATION as a member to help work on animation related articles. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 11:31, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- Allright. I contacted Paper Luigi and joined the Project Animation. Inox talk 17:59, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
Regarding the I Am Weasel dates, this is all I can conclude so far:
- June 10, 1999 - the show began airing as a half-hour series (not necessarily meaning new episodes) and apparently maintained a regular airing on Thursdays before...
- August 6, 13, 20, or 27, 1999 - new episodes began airing on CCF
- September 16, 1999 - Production on new I Am Weasel shorts ends
- September 17, 1999 - "The Incredible Shrinking Weasel (possibly with "Baboon Man and Boy Weasel/I.M.N. Love") aired
- September 24, 1999 - no new episodes aired because of a Yogi Bear special
- November 12, 1999 - "A Tree Story" (rerun from s3) and 2 other episodes aired
- November 26, 1999 - If we are to believe the source above, "The Legend of Big Butt/I Am Dragon Slayer/I Are Legend" aired
Paper Luigi T • C 17:36, 21 August 2011 (UTC)
- After almost five months of searching, I finally found something. I Am Weasel ended in 2000, according to this source. Well, it's not the exact end date or much that we are trying to find, but is at least a reliable source we can use in the article, and that's the most important thing about it. Inox talk 08:08, 20 October 2011 (UTC)
- Well, I don't know about all the correct airdates myself, I declined any comments since WikiProject Cartoon Network merged into WikiProject Animation and I am not gonna work any Cartoon Network-related articles any more. As a work group of this project, you're on your own to find it. Good luck. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 06:50, 16 February 2012 (UTC)

Cartoon Planet Return - Debate
Okay, some guy keeps removing my post about Cartoon Planet returning in the Cartoon Network article. It's real and has a prefect source, so that's not the reason. He keeps saying it's a minor block. But I don't think this is something minor. If we're talking about minor things, I think there are more minor things that are in the article. But let's get back to Cartoon Planet. It's a block, CN just recently started having blocks again starting with DC Nation. Plus, this will have hosts and segments. So what are you thoughts, should it be added in the Cartoon Network article or not?--Vasko444 (talk) 18:07, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
- How about let's be truthful? More than one editor has told you that you need valid independent third-party references, not primary sources or press releases. Also, if we add this (which does not appear to be notable, nor have you shown that it is notable - just that it exists), where do we stop? Should we list every little piddling thing the network does, no matter how trivial? If you could provide valid significant coverage of your additions from independent sources, I and others would not be revering your recent contributions. You either cannot/have not, or refuse to do so. MikeWazowski (talk) 20:42, 27 March 2012 (UTC)
Merger of this project into WikiProject Television as a task force
It has been suggested that Cartoon Network work group of WikiProject Animation to be merged into WikiProject Television as a task force since the project might be inactive or semi-active. After reviewing this project that it appears that there have not been any active discussion on the talk page in some time and the only content updates appear to be simple maintenance so being supported by a larger project might be beneficial. If you have questions or comments, please let us know. JJ98 (Talk / Contributions) 10:37, 10 April 2012 (UTC)
- Considering CN's original programming isn't just animation nowadays, I'm thinking the work group needs to break away from WP Animation somehow, as CN's live action shows don't make any sense under the animation banner. Paper Luigi T • C 06:15, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- Alright, fine with me, it's been almost nearly two years since I started converted into a work group into WP:ANIMATION, and had few many members of this work group, I am not a member of this project, what if it's possible to split and revive into a WikiProject, a joint project with WP:TV, along with these task forces including Adult Swim, Ben 10, Ed, Edd n Eddy and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. First, I'll have to discuss with the other project members first and see what they think. JJ98 (Talk) 07:23, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- I'd be alright with switching it back to a WikiProject, and if low members are an issue, we can start recruiting. On a side note, what's the difference between task forces and work groups? Paper Luigi T • C 07:45, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- I agree with luigi.ElectroPro (talk) 22:15, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
- Make it so, since I moved to a WikiProject already, plus I am going to split from {{WikiProject Animation}} banner. It may take about two weeks to get through it to assess with the banner. Plus, task forces are a non independent subgroup of a large WikiProject, work groups are the same like DC Comics work group of WikiProject Comics. See WP:TASKFORCE for the information. Popular pages tool update
As of January, the popular pages tool has moved from the Toolserver to Wikimedia Tool Labs. The code has changed significantly from the Toolserver version, but users should notice few differences. Please take a moment to look over your project's list for any anomalies, such as pages that you expect to see that are missing or pages that seem to have more views than expected. Note that unlike other tools, this tool aggregates all views from redirects, which means it will typically have higher numbers. (For January 2014 specifically, 35 hours of data is missing from the WMF data, which was approximated from other dates. For most articles, this should yield a more accurate number. However, a few articles, like ones featured on the Main Page, may be off).
Web tools, to replace the ones at tools:~alexz/pop, will become available over the next few weeks at toollabs:popularpages. All of the historical data (back to July 2009 for some projects) has been copied over. The tool to view historical data is currently partially available (assessment data and a few projects may not be available at the moment). The tool to add new projects to the bot's list is also available now (editing the configuration of current projects coming soon). Unlike the previous tool, all changes will be effective immediately. OAuth is used to authenticate users, allowing only regular users to make changes to prevent abuse. A visible history of configuration additions and changes is coming soon. Once tools become fully available, their toolserver versions will redirect to Labs.
If you have any questions, want to report any bugs, or there are any features you would like to see that aren't currently available on the Toolserver tools, see the updated FAQ or contact me on my talk page. Mr.Z-bot (talk) (for Mr.Z-man) 04:57, 23 February 2014 (UTC)

Leaflet For Wikiproject Cartoon Network At Wikimania 2014
Hi all,
My name is Adi Khajuria and I am helping out with Wikimania 2014 in London.
One of our initiatives is to create leaflets to increase the discoverability of various wikimedia projects, and showcase the breadth of activity within wikimedia. Any kind of project can have a physical paper leaflet designed - for free - as a tool to help recruit new contributors. These leaflets will be printed at Wikimania 2014, and the designs can be re-used in the future at other events and locations.
This is particularly aimed at highlighting less discoverable but successful projects, e.g:
• Active Wikiprojects: Wikiproject Medicine, WikiProject Video Games, Wikiproject Film
• Tech projects/Tools, which may be looking for either users or developers.
• Less known major projects: Wikinews, Wikidata, Wikivoyage, etc.
• Wiki Loves Parliaments, Wiki Loves Monuments, Wiki Loves ____
• Wikimedia thematic organisations, Wikiwomen’s Collaborative, The Signpost
For more information or to sign up for one for your project, go to:

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal
Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! (Also, sorry about the posting mistake earlier. If someone already moved my message to the talk page, feel free to remove this posting.) Harej (talk) 22:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
WP:VG comments subpages cleanup
Hi, there is currently a discussion taking place at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Video games#VG comments subpages regarding whether it would be acceptable to permanently shift all comments subpages associated with WP:VG articles into talk. This shift would follow the recommended approach given at WP:DCS. The WikiProject Cartoon Network articles that would be affected by this action are these:
If you have objections related specifically to WikiProject Cartoon Network's use of these subpages, please make this clear at the discussion so that other unrelated talk pages can be cleaned up where appropriate. Thank you. -Thibbs (talk) 15:55, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
WikiProject X is live!
Hello everyone!
You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

2016 Community Wishlist Survey Proposal to Revive Popular Pages
Greetings WikiProject Cartoon Network/Archive 7 Members!
This is a one-time-only message to inform you about a technical proposal to revive your Popular Pages list in the 2016 Community Wishlist Survey that I think you may be interested in reviewing and perhaps even voting for:
If the above proposal gets in the Top 10 based on the votes, there is a high likelihood of this bot being restored so your project will again see monthly updates of popular pages.
Further, there are over 260 proposals in all to review and vote for, across many aspects of wikis.
Thank you for your consideration. Please note that voting for proposals continues through December 12, 2016.
Best regards, Stevietheman — Delivered: 17:56, 7 December 2016 (UTC)
Popular pages report
We – Community Tech – are happy to announce that the Popular pages bot is back up-and-running (after a one year hiatus)! You're receiving this message because your WikiProject or task force is signed up to receive the popular pages report. Every month, Community Tech bot will post at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cartoon Network/Archive 7/Popular pages with a list of the most-viewed pages over the previous month that are within the scope of WikiProject Cartoon Network.
We've made some enhancements to the original report. Here's what's new:
- The pageview data includes both desktop and mobile data.
- The report will include a link to the pageviews tool for each article, to dig deeper into any surprises or anomalies.
- The report will include the total pageviews for the entire project (including redirects).
We're grateful to Mr.Z-man for his original Mr.Z-bot, and we wish his bot a happy robot retirement. Just as before, we hope the popular pages reports will aid you in understanding the reach of WikiProject Cartoon Network, and what articles may be deserving of more attention. If you have any questions or concerns please contact us at m:User talk:Community Tech bot.

WikiProject collaboration notice from the Portals WikiProject
The reason I am contacting you is because there are one or more portals that fall under this subject, and the Portals WikiProject is currently undertaking a major drive to automate portals that may affect them.
Portals are being redesigned.
The new design features are being applied to existing portals.
At present, we are gearing up for a maintenance pass of portals in which the introduction section will be upgraded to no longer need a subpage. In place of static copied and pasted excerpts will be self-updating excerpts displayed through selective transclusion, using the template {{Transclude lead excerpt}}.
The discussion about this can be found here.
Maintainers of specific portals are encouraged to sign up as project members here, noting the portals they maintain, so that those portals are skipped by the maintenance pass. Currently, we are interested in upgrading neglected and abandoned portals. There will be opportunity for maintained portals to opt-in later, or the portal maintainers can handle upgrading (the portals they maintain) personally at any time.
Background
On April 8th, 2018, an RfC ("Request for comment") proposal was made to eliminate all portals and the portal namespace. On April 17th, the Portals WikiProject was rebooted to handle the revitalization of the portal system. On May 12th, the RfC was closed with the result to keep portals, by a margin of about 2 to 1 in favor of keeping portals.
Since the reboot, the Portals WikiProject has been busy building tools and components to upgrade portals.
So far, 84 editors have joined.
If you would like to keep abreast of what is happening with portals, see the newsletter archive.
If you have any questions about what is happening with portals or the Portals WikiProject, please post them on the WikiProject's talk page.
Thank you. — The Transhumanist 07:28, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Need help finding sources for Portable hole
I've been working on Portable hole. When I started, it was almost entirely unsourced WP:OR. I've made some progress finding sources, but not as much as I'd like. Many entries remain unsourced, and many of the sources I've added are, admittedly, not reliable. There's no doubt that this is a notable concept, having been used in film, cartoons, and literature by many authors. But, good sources are hard to find. I'd appreciate any help. -- RoySmith (talk) 16:37, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

Request for information on WP1.0 web tool
Hello and greetings from the maintainers of the WP 1.0 Bot! As you may or may not know, we are currently involved in an overhaul of the bot, in order to make it more modern and maintainable. As part of this process, we will be rewriting the web tool that is part of the project. You might have noticed this tool if you click through the links on the project assessment summary tables.
We'd like to collect information on how the current tool is used by....you! How do you yourself and the other maintainers of your project use the web tool? Which of its features do you need? How frequently do you use these features? And what features is the tool missing that would be useful to you? We have collected all of these questions at this Google form where you can leave your response. Walkerma (talk) 04:24, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Voice Cast Section?
Hello,
I think that the DC Super Hero Girls (tv series) article should have a voice cast section, instead of mentioning the cast in prose. It previously had one but it was removed, I am not sure why. I've been trying to look at other CN show articles to see the typical formatting/rules for this, but it varies from article to article. For example, the Amazing World of Gumball page lists the cast in prose in the "premise" section (and frankly, could be cleaned up for clarity in my opinion), while the Teen Titans Go article has a table with the five main voices and the many characters they voice, while the Total DramaRama page simply lists the cast in the side infobox without specifying who voices what.
I suppose my question is, is there a universally decided on format for listing the cast, and if so, what is it? And if there isn't, how do I decide?
Best,

Edits
Hello! I made a couple of grammatical edits to this article, including the use of many commas, hyphens, and changing the tenses of some of the words. I also had a couple of "a"'s and "an"'s. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maddie.bobbitt (talk • contribs) 05:26, 8 November 2021 (UTC)

User script to detect unreliable sources
I have (with the help of others) made a small user script to detect and highlight various links to unreliable sources and predatory journals. Some of you may already be familiar with it, given it is currently the 39th most imported script on Wikipedia. The idea is that it takes something like
- John Smith "Article of things" Deprecated.com. Accessed 2020-02-14. (
John Smith "[https://www.deprecated.com/article Article of things]" ''Deprecated.com''. Accessed 2020-02-14.
)
and turns it into something like
- John Smith "Article of things" Deprecated.com. Accessed 2020-02-14.
It will work on a variety of links, including those from {{cite web}}, {{cite journal}} and {{doi}}.
The script is mostly based on WP:RSPSOURCES, WP:NPPSG and WP:CITEWATCH and a good dose of common sense. I'm always expanding coverage and tweaking the script's logic, so general feedback and suggestions to expand coverage to other unreliable sources are always welcomed.
Do note that this is not a script to be mindlessly used, and several caveats apply. Details and instructions are available at User:Headbomb/unreliable. Questions, comments and requests can be made at User talk:Headbomb/unreliable.

Project-independent quality assessments
Quality assessments are used by Wikipedia editors to rate the quality of articles in terms of completeness, organization, prose quality, sourcing, etc. Most wikiprojects follow the general guidelines at Wikipedia:Content assessment, but some have specialized assessment guidelines. A recent Village pump proposal was approved and has been implemented to add a |class=
parameter to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, which can display a general quality assessment for an article, and to let project banner templates "inherit" this assessment.
No action is required if your wikiproject follows the standard assessment approach. Over time, quality assessments will be migrated up to {{WikiProject banner shell}}, and your project banner will automatically "inherit" any changes to the general assessments for the purpose of assigning categories.
However, if your project has decided to "opt out" and follow a non-standard quality assessment approach, all you have to do is modify your wikiproject banner template to pass {{WPBannerMeta}} a new |QUALITY_CRITERIA=custom
parameter. If this is done, changes to the general quality assessment will be ignored, and your project-level assessment will be displayed and used to create categories, as at present. Aymatth2 (talk) 20:56, 9 April 2023 (UTC)

AfDs for three episodes of Steven Universe
Recently, a user has nominated the articles The Answer (Steven Universe), Cry for Help (Steven Universe), and Mindful Education, claiming they are nominating it per WP:BRV, "especially in regards to off-wiki information between the creator of the article and Steven Universe, which I won't describe here but suffice to say could be considered a violation of WP:G5." I would like these discussions to get more attention, so they don't fall under the radar. To leave your comment, please go to:
