Mariapaola D'Imperio
[edit]Would someone mind taking a look at Mariapaola D'Imperio and assessing it per WP:NPROF? There are only two primary-like sources currently being cited in support of article content, but one of them includes a list of publictions that might show the subject meets NPROF. The subject of the article has also recently started to edit it; so far, most of those edits seem to be fairly innoculous and made in good faith, but they might try to do some more. I did some minor reorganizing and hid some content per WP:BLPSOURCES, but it's probably better if someone more familair with articles about academics take a closer look at it. -- Marchjuly (talk) 21:47, 30 June 2024 (UTC)

Michael Eric Dyson
[edit]Hello there. I am editing regarding the article on Michael Eric Dyson. I noticed some trivia about Dyson and Nancy Mace that was not sourced well, so I removed it. It was added back in with some more questionable sourcing - a Mediaite article and a youtube video. I think that according to Wikipedia policy, both of those sources are problematic, especially when no one else is reporting on the Mace/Dyson alleged interaction. I think it's too trivial to include in an encyclopedia. Please look for yourself, thank you. Oliver Phile (talk) 16:58, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
Daniel Diermeier
[edit]Hi editors, I'm Ben and work for Vanderbilt University. I'm hoping to get some additional feedback on a request I made of the Daniel Diermeier article and thought it may be of interest to people here. If you have the time to take a look and offer any thoughts, I'd really appreciate it! VandyBE (talk) 17:06, 30 September 2024 (UTC)
Work-in-progress list of National Academy of Sciences scientist red links
[edit]I've been working on updating all of the Lists of National Academy of Sciences. I've been tracking things for my own purposes, but I'm building a pretty substantial list of scientists who pass WP:NACADEMIC, both living and deceased. Link to my progress user page with list and details. I just found this Task Force and I wanted to share in case it would be helpful as a resource for anyone looking to create articles. (As a newbie myself, I've found these articles are low-risk for knowing whether or not someone is not able before starting an article too.) Cyanochic (talk) 04:15, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- I added a link to this list from Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Women in Red. —David Eppstein (talk) 05:28, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you! I hadn't shared it there because it's not solely women in the list, so I wasn't sure if it was welcome to share there. Cyanochic (talk) 07:38, 25 October 2024 (UTC)
- I picked out the women I could find from your list when posting there. —David Eppstein (talk) 07:43, 25 October 2024 (UTC)

Question about adding template
[edit]Allan Lichtman is a professor at American University who has received extensive media coverage for formulating and applying The Keys to the White House, a prediction model. The Talk page for his bio article has the standard BLP template but the Talk page for the "Keys" article does not. I've been involved in extremely contentious editing on the "Keys" article; if the template would be appropriate there, I'd appreciate it if an uninvolved editor would add it. Thanks! Editor deleting large chunks of academic biographies using political criteria
[edit][1] Deleting unsourced, bibliographies, etc from any that mention activism, socialism, gender issues, etc. But not conservatism. Doug Weller talk 07:52, 27 December 2024 (UTC)
What a mess of an article. Whole sections are unsourced. It reads like he's not really a scientist, but a henchman for Putin. Please help fix this, or delete it. Bearian (talk) 03:10, 9 January 2025 (UTC)
