Why not run this on the 20th for its anniversary? czar 18:40, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- Don't know; pinging Chris. I see at WP:FADC that we have 3 other runnable articles with a connection to that date; I don't know if he was holding the date. - Dank (push to talk) 18:44, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- There's also another game nominated to run on the 27th so it's a bit close. No objections here, just thought it might be better to hold this one for the anniversary czar 18:52, 19 September 2016 (UTC)
- See Wikipedia:Today's featured article/requests/Super Meat Boy. The article was nominated for a non-specific date slot, and PresN (a main editor) didn't seem to mind running it a bit early. It's only a sixth anniversary, so it's not particularly significant. As for the articles with a date relevance: two of the three are listed as being of unacceptable quality at User:Dweller/Featured Articles that haven't been on Main Page (even though I really wanted to run the Battle of Moscow, I have to agree that the article isn't ready). The third, Kid A, has already been delisted. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 00:44, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- I'm indifferent to having it on the anniversary; the 6th isn't very significant, and the same month is close enough. It'd be nice, but if there's already a VG article on the 27th I wouldn't want to cause a hassle. --PresN 00:51, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- Sorry, I was talking about the 20th. - Dank (push to talk) 01:46, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
- 27 September is "Diamonds", a song. 27 October is 25 days from 2 October - more than enough time between video games, considering the current backlog. Running this on 20 October would be a bit close, I agree. — Chris Woodrich (talk) 01:48, 20 September 2016 (UTC)
