Seattle sea lions related article drafting help requested

[edit]

I'm looking for any help finishing out this draft article on Herschel the sea lion. Herschel and a rotating group of male sealions who wintered at the Ballard Locks in Seattle were a National news from 1985 to about 1988ish due to the purported impact on salmon runs though the locks. I've got basic outline bits but I've bogged finding more specifics and rounding out the article.--Kevmin § 16:48, 2 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Help wanted with mass cleanup of vandalism to fish articles

[edit]

There was a mass vandalism event by a user that vandalized many fish-related articles, including, but not limited to, adding fake names, by (now-blocked) user "Alomomola." (See: Wikipedia:Administrators noticeboard/Incidents#Alomomola and common names of fish. You can see a list of this user's edits here: Special:Contributions/Alomomola. Any users who have experience with taxonomy and/or fish-related knowledge would be helpful. This topic has already been posted on the Wikiproject Fishes talk page (Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fishes#Help wanted with mass cleanup of vandalism to fish articles), but I thought I should mention it here as well.
