[edit]Also, specify whether or not you would join the project.

- Would join. --Auric talk 18:27, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- Absolutely! I would suggest adding Minecraft server and its category, and removing Markus Persson. Leijurv (talk) 19:02, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- There is a lot of articles around Minecraft, I think it deserves its own project and I'm not sure how it could be a bad thing. AlessandroTiandelli333 (talk) 00:34, 15 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Opposed
[edit]- Minecraft is not a big enough topic area to warrant an entire dedicated WikiProject. I dare say it's not even big enough to warrant a task force within the parent project WP:VG. -- ferret (talk) 14:51, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- There are three Minecraft games - the original, and two spin-offs that don't have much in common with its source material. That's three games, a ridiculously tiny scope for a WikiProject. There's no reason this WP needs to exist. Namcokid47 (Contribs) 15:03, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- VG project had a lot of task forces merged and deprecated because of no activity. This included stuff like big developers BioWare and iD. Even a whole topic like Indie games barely sees any activity. A single game franchise is not even suitable for a task force at this time, let alone a whole project. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 15:24, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- On top of the concerns listed above, I dont believe the proposer has the know-how to start or maintain a WikiProject. The very fact that he’s proposing roles like “director” and “inner-sanctum” shows he knows he’s not ready to do this. (The editor has since deleted that aspect of his proposal, if anyone is wondering what I’m talking about here.) Elsewhere, he openly admitted he doesn’t even know how to Wiki-link to pages yet. - per Sergecross73 and Ferret. Simply not enough scope. dibbydib boop or snoop 04:46, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]Who wants to be template maker?
- I doubt that this needs its own WikiProject. The scope is rather narrow and, if anything, a taskforce for WP:VG could easily suffice. IceWelder [✉] 14:10, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- Additionally, projects don't have "directors" and "inner councils". This isn't a club house. -- ferret (talk) 14:55, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- I don't know who "leijury" is, but I'm not sure he knows what "director" means, or wants to be one. Leijurv (talk) 19:21, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Whoops, I miscapitalized your name, sorry — Preceding unsigned comment added by Another Wiki User the 2nd (talk • contribs) 21:16, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Do NOT Per Sergecross73 for wikilinking, he was lying. I did not admit that, and there are links on my userpage.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Another Wiki User the 2nd (talk • contribs) 22:36, 17 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
- Lol. It doesn't matter but I was just trying to make a joke about leijurV versus leijurY. Anyway I'm interested but certainly wouldn't want to be a "director" or anything. And it looks (from above) like it ain't happening. Leijurv (talk) 21:20, 12 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
