[edit]

updated book and blog content and kindly check it Syedshawar (talk) 05:03, 25 August 2021 (UTC)syed shawar[reply]

Hi Syedshawar. Rejection is meant to be final, to convey that the topic is not notable (not suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia). No amount of editing can fix that problem. There is no option to re-submit the draft because volunteers do not intend to review it again. --Worldbruce (talk) 12:53, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That above would have been a large enough mistake, I also managed to move the draft for Valerie Broussard to a location somewhere about here: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Wikipedia:Valerie_Broussard

I'm not that awake, and I'm not really sure where the here, is. At this moment it is probably wise for another person to click the appropriate button. Gosh this is embarrassing

Okay thanks for the reversions. I don't have a way to submit it, so whom should I ask? Missbellanash (talk) 07:38, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, this is my first article in here, I don't really understand what is wrong so I'd like to request some help from experienced people in order to understand my mistakes, to learn and also get help to submit the draft for review.

In my understanding the first problem is the lack of verifiable sources. But for which particular information? All of them? So if I can't find any valid source, should I remove unverifiable informations?

The second problem, I think, is the "dissambiguation" of this page. Well, I'm lost.

Thanks for your patience and understanding.

13:20:11, 25 August 2021 review of draft by CHFox

[edit]

Hi there, I am trying to create an English language version of the following article:

https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galerie_Daniel_Blau

Initially I translated it pretty much verbatim, and it was rejected. I've tried to follow the guidelines for verifiability, finding reliable online sources etc, but am not sure what else I can do to make sure my article is in the right format to be accepted...I've been told that the article reads like a resume but many similar published articles about galleries are in this format, so I'd be really grateful for some advice! Thanks in advance for your help :)

CHFox (talk) 13:20, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CHFox Please read other stuff exists. That other similar articles exist does not mean that yours can too. It could be that these other articles you have seen are also inappropriate. As this is a volunteer project where people do what they can when they can, it is possible for inappropriate articles to get by us. We can only address what we know about. If you would like to help us out, please identify these other articles for possible action.
If you want to use other articles as a model, make sure that they are classified as a "good article" on the talk page.
Also note that what is acceptable on another language version of Wikipedia isn't necessarily acceptable here, as each version is its own project.
Wikipedia is not a place to merely tell about something. A Wikipedia article about an organization must summarize what independent reliable sources with significant coverage have chosen on their own to say about the organization, showing how it meets Wikipedia's special definition of a notable organization. Please see Your first article. 331dot (talk) 14:27, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for pointing us to a draft that was blatantly and irreparably promotional. It has been deleted. Don't do it again.A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 02:00, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I'm doing research into a startup for a class and I picked DNA Romance, I feel like this article is a fairly impartial, and atm its difficult to find up to date information about this company elsewhere on the internet, was just wondering why this draft was rejected? Baldxseaxurchin (talk) 19:23, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't ask the same questions in different places. Your question at Wikipedia:Teahouse has been answered. --bonadea contributions talk 20:28, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

20:17:42, 25 August 2021 review of draft by Alanlammiman

[edit]

Created article on Fabio Kanczuk. He is notable for being one of the current members of the COPOM (committee for monetary policy) of the Brazilian Central Bank. That's the board with half a dozen people on it, all confirmed by the Brazilian Senate, who manage monetary policy for Brazil. In short, this is equivalent to the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve in the USA, whose members have extensive Wikipedia articles. Brazil is one of the 10 largest economies in the world, it historically has had one of the highest interest rates in the world, making its monetary policy particularly relevant. Citations provided include one reporting his Senate confirmation.

Page creation was rejected, and my first reaction is that this must be my first contact with the English Wikipedia US-centrism I had read about. Or can someone give me a good reason why that article shouldn't exist?

Alanlammiman (talk) 20:17, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hackles down please @Alanlammiman. All this means that you have not yet proved in Wikipedia terms that the person is notable. You have work to do on referencing.
For a living person we have a high standard of referencing. Every substantive fact you assert, especially one that is susceptible to potential challenge, requires a citation with a reference that is about them, and is independent of them, in multiple secondary sources which are WP:RS, and is significant coverage. Please also see WP:PRIMARY which details the limited permitted usage of primary sources and WP:SELFPUB which has clear limitations on self published sources. Providing sufficient references, ideally one per fact cited, that meet these tough criteria is likely to make this draft a clear acceptance (0.9 probability). Lack of them or an inability to find them is likely to mean that the person is not suitable for inclusion, certainly today.
None of the accusations about US centrism are appropriate. Please just learn your trade here and do the work if you want the draft approved. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 20:30, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
In addition some more prose would be appropriate.
Our role as reviewers is to seek to ensure that an article will not immediately be subject to one of our deletion processes when it is accepted. That is why we push it back to the author. We want to accept articles. FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 20:33, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@[[User:Timtrent|Timtrent] Thank you for your response, it is helpful to understand how Wikipedia works in practice. I did cite multiple sources - G1 (ie Globo) and UOL (ie Folha) which are two of the largest media groups in Brazil, and I have actually spent quite a bit of time (days, in fact) reading the guidelines. Presumably I'm a bit dim, because I continue not to understand what's missing, even after your message, though I don't doubt that there is something there, and at this stage I really don't want to argue the point. Frankly, I really don't think I'll be contributing, at least for now, even though I really admire the spirit of the project and respect those who do contribute - no point in doing so if the contributions are going to be reverted, if it's not clear to me why and how to fix it, and if it's going to be a bother to those who have contributed for longer. Cheers and all the best!

Question to Victor Schmit: I use iPad and as soon as I type [[ it takes me to the Add link page and there are two lines the first: text, the second: the link. In the first I typed the name and in the second the code of the the photo file. When I click the blue button at the top right, then a name appears on my page but without a photo. If I click on a name, it takes me to a location of photo in the Wiki commons. What am I doing wrong? please write what and where I should write. Thank you for your time and help.

Тошболта (talk) 22:54, 25 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Тошболта: looks like you are using the visual editor for editing. The process to insert images there is a slight bit different, but its described at Help:VisualEditor § Editing images and other media files. Victor Schmidt (talk) 06:06, 26 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
