00:33:14, 5 September 2019 review of submission by HapHaxion

[edit]

Hey, I was just wondering: even though I submitted my draft through AfC, I technically have the rights to just create an article outright. Would it be alright if I remove the Draft under AfC and just publish the page? I think I've found enough information for the moment (more can always be added in the future). HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 00:33, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi HapHaxion. You are very strongly discouraged from bypassing AfC for pages, such as Draft:Victoria Barbara, with which you have a conflict of interest. Disregard the guideline at your peril. Another editor recently complained they didn't realize it meant the page would be deleted, which is what happened when they ignored the rule. --Worldbruce (talk) 03:43, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Gotcha. Just wanted to ask. HapHaxion (talk / contribs) 03:51, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Chintan Rishabh Jain:, it was reasonably rejected due to its advertorial nature. Things like your very first words being "BookMyShow has changed the face of Ticketing System", "The business thrived with no investors from 2002 to 2006" (which actually contradicts your challenges section, which also reads in a "challenges that we can show we faced really well". Hi thanks for looking at my created wikipedia page about Ruben Pol. I have read the instructions, but I can't figure out where it goes wrong. Could you tell me specific what happend. Thanks in advance.

Coen Coenhornman (talk) 09:45, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Specifically what happened was as the reject notice says ...this topic is not sufficiently notable for inclusion in Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 10:20, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

I am unsure why my sources are unreliable? The sources cite my name in every publication. The publications are some of the UKs largest newspapers?

Maccer123 (talk) 15:12, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Maccer123: - publications can be big without being reliable - tabloids are generally or completely unreliable (depending on circumstance and the specific tabloid).
Currently you don't actually have any sources either, which is making it very hard to interpret them - you instead have a number of external links. Please have a read of referencing for beginners
I turned one external link into an example of a reference - there are more and less complicated methods, I chose a fairly easily to duplicate format. One very quick lesson - you can link to other wikipedia articles just by putting them in <nowiki>Subject<nowiki> Nosebagbear (talk) 20:19, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

15:55:41, 5 September 2019 review of draft by Vijethnbharadwaj

Vijeth N Bharadwaj 15:55, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

This Page was Reviewed a couple of days back. But still It is not converted as a main article. Why? Vijeth N Bharadwaj 15:55, 5 September 2019 (UTC)

@Vijethnbharadwaj: - it is an article. If you search it in Wikipedia you will find it. I don't know if you're asking why you can't find it on google. It's also been patrolled, so it's just waiting to be scraped by google's webspiders, which they'll do in the next couple of days. Nosebagbear (talk) 17:33, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

17:34:34, 5 September 2019 review of submission by Bibliograf

[edit]

Dear Colleagues, I respect your experience and expertise, and yet I would like you to reconsider. The bilingual writer Olga Zilberbourg, who is only forty years old, has published 4 books in her native Russian and adopted English, has won awards, and has had her work published in major American literary magazines. I think it's important to recognize rising literary authors, and especially so when they are women and immigrants. Thank you for your attention.

Bibliograf (talk) 17:34, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Bibliograf: - it's possible the individual might be notable then, but you haven't included a single reference other than her own website. If you can find a couple of reliable, independent, in-depth reviews for one of her books, then she may be notable. Nosebagbear (talk) 20:21, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Is it within site guidelines to re-submit a draft after a rejection if the content has been improved? Thank you. E-Stylus (talk) 23:32, 5 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
