[edit]

I want to delete the draft of an article I created for Matthew Parker (author). I should have just moved it directly to the article space and want to do that instead. How can I delete it?

Lilipo25 (talk) 02:41, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lilipo25 Hi, Place {{Db-G7}} on top of the page and state "request for article deletion by creator" on the edit summary before saving/publish. Revisit the page and you will see a pink panel on top of the page. The page will be deleted in a few hours once you made the edit. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:42, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thank you. I just got the feedback of declining my draft. I really do not understand, why my references are not secondary sources who are independent e.g. a very renewed newspaper in Germany (WELT), or doit-it smart, a serious Swiss state-funded platform; or zu-daily - a journal of the Zeppelin University. I could add reference from the, again very well know TV-Channel 3 Sat on our films - see: https://pressetreff.3sat.de/programmwochen/programmwoche/12/3sat/19.03.2019/19.03.2019/bc/zeige/168a1805-1111-1111-d4ec-fe774c2d2d8a/ https://www.abendblatt.de/kultur-live/tv-und-medien/article212954005/Seychellen-Ein-Meer-von-Farben.html https://www.steinbeis-sibe.de/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/Marte-Angelica-Kurzvita.pdf https://systemische-gesellschaft.de/fachleute/angelica-marte/

Please inform accordingly, how I can improve that. Thank you so much. BR, Angelica Marte ---

17:04:25, 20 April 2019 review of submission by Cardenthusiast14

[edit]

Hi Team! I have a bit of a dream to get this wiki page published about a growing a card game that's growing in popularity in Vancouver, Canada.I submitted the article and it was declined so I wanted some insight on what I need to do to resubmit it and get it approved!

The reason the editor gave for declining it was because of a lack of sources, which I am a little unclear on how I need to make it more robust so any help here would be much appreciated. The article has three sources, one of which is to a third party site where the card game is directly mentioned thus speaking to it's credibility. Cardenthusiast14 (talk) 17:04, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Cardenthusiast14. Wikipedia is not the place to "get the word out" about anything. It aims to have articles only about things that have already gained significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time, as evidenced by significant coverage in multiple, independent, reliable sources (think books, magazines, and newspapers; or their web versions).
Draft:Cactus cites two Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia, being user-generated, is not a reliable source, and should not be used as a reference. The draft also has an external link, which is not allowed in the text. Perhaps you intended it as a reference. It's about a different game, so it doesn't help show notability. --Worldbruce (talk) 21:27, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

18:03:48, 20 April 2019 review of draft by I edit things that come to mind

[edit]

Hello, I have a question regarding a warning that I have on the draft that I have submitted. It says "Warning: The page Fuji TACOM redirects to Draft:Fuji TACOM. Please ensure it is not a copy or that this page is located to the correct title.". So the backstory of this draft is that I have created a page that wasn't a draft called "Fuji TACOM". When I realized my mistake by trying to submit it I got a message to move the page as a draft as it is misplaced, and so I did. In regards to the warning above, is there anything I should do further or should I just leave the draft as it is? Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

I edit things that come to mind (talk) 18:03, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi I edit things that come to mind. Thanks for asking. Cross-namespace moves can be tricky. By default, they leave behind a redirect from the old title in the old namespace. But redirects from main space to Draft space are not allowed. I've requested the speedy deletion of the unwanted redirect. When it's deleted, probably within a few hours, that will have the side effect of making the warning you're seeing go away. --Worldbruce (talk) 18:21, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It worked. Thanks a lot. I edit things that come to mind (talk) 19:40, 20 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
