I would like to add an image to my new article but it says I need to be a confirmed user first. The article is about a webcomic and the image I would like to add is a free image available from the webcomic's gallery http://www.nawlz.com/hq/wp-content/gallery/nawlz_gallery/screen1.jpg

I have submitted my draft on 9 June 2015 but it was declined. I made changes in content as per guidelines given by @Joseph2302:.

I would like to follow all the Wikipedia Guidelines so request you all to review my draft & suggest required changes in it.

Rajcurator (talk) 04:56, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Unfortunately, the company is simply non-notable at this point in time, given there isn't enough coverage about it. Regards, FoCuSandLeArN (talk) 19:32, 7 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi, I just re-submitted this article after correcting the references as best I could. One thing I'm not sure about is why the web citations are showing up in a numerical order differing from their appearance in the body of the article. Any advice on this (or on improving the article) appreciated. Merise (talk) 06:04, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Merise[reply]

Merise (talk) 06:04, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Merise: The <ref>source citation stuff</ref> is to be placed, not at the top of the article, but immediately after the text the citation supports, replacing the [http://...]'s you have in the body text. I did the Rolling Stone citation for you. Try to fix the others the same way. Worldbruce (talk) 19:31, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Request on 12:12:26, 6 July 2015 for assistance on AfC submission by Mattyp783

[edit]

I submitted an article, Israelife, for review and it was initially rejected because there were not enough sources. I made the requested changes; however, the reviewer left a messaging saying they were no longer reviewing articles. I need someone to review and approve the page.

Mattyp783 (talk) 12:12, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Mattyp783: You and 1,300 others. The draft is in the queue and you can expect another review in a month or so. From a quick glance, the draft is a bit of a train wreck, so I suggest you use that time to more thoroughly familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's guidelines and improve the draft accordingly. We can provide more detailed and personalized assistance and guidance when we review it, but the closer to perfect you can get it on your own, the better. Thank you for offering up your professional Wiki assistance! I am with CBRNE Tech Index and we are trying to start up our Wiki page with limited secondary sources available. Since we are a fairly new organization, not even a year yet, it has been hard to meet the strict notability guidelines. I am looking for any additional suggestions on how to pass our page review, as many editors have not been welcoming nor happy to assist me, they simply "speedy delete". It has been a pretty disappointing experience so far and I'm hoping it goes better from here on out. Thank you again for your help! -Emma

@Eballard1214: You are likely to find your welcome distinctly cool and the experience disappointing for as long as you write about something to which you have a close connection. Being closely connected, you may not be able to see that you're putting your interests ahead of Wikipedia's, or you may think they're congruent. You seem to believe it would be a good thing if the world knew more about CBRNE Tech Index. Maybe it would, but that is not Wikipedia's purpose, indeed it is the exact opposite. Wikipedia's function is to document those things that the world at large has already taken significant notice of. The fact that you are a new organization and are having a difficult time meeting the notability guidelines should strongly suggest to you that the organization shouldn't have an article on Wikipedia (most organizations don't, and shouldn't). Please read WP:BFAQ#COMPANY. I recommend that you set the draft aside and concentrate on the business of the organization. Come back in a year or two and, if the organization has become notable, odds are someone will have written a fine article about it. Worldbruce (talk) 21:59, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I need your help. I am attempting to create a page that summarizes the DoD's Transition Assistance Program for Service members leaving the military (Draft:Transition Assistance Program) and am using information (that I wrote) from a government website (DoDtap.mil). This material is not copyrighted (https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Copyright_status_of_work_by_the_U.S._government).

However, my article was declined because it is substantially similar to information on this page: https://www.linkedin.com/pub/naval-base-kitsap-transition-gps/92/90b/860 ... the problem is, the information on that page was taken from my source material. In effect, they copied-and-pasted the same non-copyrighted material that I'm referencing. Does this make their stolen information copyrighted?

Bottom line: I rewrote the content on my draft wikipedia page and hope that this solves the issue. But I'm honestly concerned that either I'm missing something or there is a misunderstanding of where my information came from. Thank you.

Please remove my Matthew Santoro draft from the Pending AfC submissions, which I know is the same as unsubmitting it. I don't know of a way to do that myself, so I'm asking here. Rainbow unicorn (talk) 20:45, 6 July 2015 (UTC) Rainbow unicorn (talk) 20:45, 6 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
