I have left you a comment on your draft. I chose not to decline it, but I am sure it will be declined soon unless you work hard at it. Before you submit drafts for review please make them at least look like articles. Fiddle Faddle 19:46, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not just start a new section here with nothing, but visit your draft and examine the comments upon it. Ask questions when you do not understand. Fiddle Faddle 12:01, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

We were recently told by Anupmehra that our page was not accepted because we did not follow the Golden Rule. However, we did not discuss competitors in our post and included plenty of links to site what we said. Could you please provide us with some more detailed information as to why we were not accepted?

Thanks! Splice Machine 13:32, 22 September 2014 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ariela Weinberger (talkcontribs)

I'm surprised that Anupmehra missed the copyright violations in the draft. The huge clues were waving in the breeze, and slapped me in the face. I have flagged it for speedy deletion. It must be in your own words in future. Note "Our page" is not a concept we recognise. Please see WP:OWN. WHat benefit do you believe will accrue to you from a Wikipedia page? I accidentally re-submitted, can I still make changes to the existing document and submit the newer one again?

Alex.kalai (talk) 15:06, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please continue to improve Draft:Media Diversity Institute. Submission does not stop you. You may as well leave it in the submitted state while you work. Fiddle Faddle 19:17, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Why was this page not apporved for publishing? HELLO STAGE (talk) 15:59, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please go and read the comment on the draft. If you do not understand it then return here and ask a supplementary question within this section and below my answer. Fiddle Faddle 19:14, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am trying to create a Wikipedia page for my client Dean Graziosi. I created one earlier this month full of nothing for true information and factual information, and I wondering why it got deleted. My client has been a public figure for over 15 years, yet the only place we have troubles is here at Wikipedia. Can you PLEASE help me with the next step.

DGenterprise (talk) 16:36, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Two reasons, relating to a third.
1. It was a violation of copyright, using language from other sources in violation of copyrights.
2. It was a steaming pile of crap, a loathsome and contemptible advertisement of the worst sort, full of promotional language, first-naming and fulsome praise, unfit for anything more respectable than a late-night infomercial. (I'm really sorry that I've read it.)
3. You have a massive conflict of interest, and are the worst possible candidate (with the possible exception of Graziosi himself) to be writing such an article. Even your username is highly suspect. We don't permit promotion and hucksterism in this encyclopedia; this is not MySpace or Facebook. --Orange Mike | Talk 17:58, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi,

We're trying to fix some of the issues on our page for Shirley Gorelick.

- Does the 'find a link tool' search only internally in Wikipedia, or through the entire web?

- How do we provide information for a reliable source? Where do we input this information?

- We are unclear about 'bare links'. We have links to both Wikipedia pages and external links, for example, http://www.nytimes.com/1996/03/24/nyregion/art-recalling-a-pioneering-women-s-gallery.html

Could you give us an example of proper formatting using the link we've just provided?

Thank you.

Alyssagorelick (talk) 18:49, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please do not start lines with blank space. As you see, above and below, it creates weird formatting
Here is an example of weird formatting, with a silly box around it
Try Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL to search off Wikipedia, something you presumably understand anyway
We require references from significant coverage about the topic of the article, and independent of it, and in WP:RS please. See WP:42. That last but one link explains reliable sources
Please read WP:REFB and WP:CITE
Note that "our page" is not a Wikipedia concept. It is my page as much as your page. See WP:OWN
The WP:TEAHOUSE is better for questions about articles already in the main namespace, simce we deal with those needing help during the creation process. Shirley Gorelick is vulnerable to deletion, and does require improvement. IT has primary sources. WP:PRIMARY explains their limitations Fiddle Faddle 19:29, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]
