Dear Editor,

How could I avoid using IOT sensitive case, like IoT? This is inevitable because the company I'm introducing is an IOT Sensor company. And I do not want to violate any copyright from anyone. Thanks~!

Yours Truly,

Santiago Wei — Preceding unsigned comment added by Santi5Wei (talkcontribs) 02:33, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

@Santi5wei: Calling the company by its name is not a copyright violation. That said, Wikipedia articles require significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, such as articles in newspapers and reputable trade magazines. Your draft has nothing of that kind, and Baidu is not a reliable source because its content is not subject to editorial oversight. Huon (talk) 22:29, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Gert-Johan Coetzee My article was declined for submission, I would please like to know the reason why it was declined to that I can improve it.

Your submission was declined for the reasons given inside and outside the pink box at the top of the submission page. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 10:11, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to know why my article was not accepted. I used the format from another wikipedia article. You have information on BATOO TSHeRING who took over as Chief from the person I am writing about. Infact Batoo Tshering's article refers to the person I am writing about. Please let me know what I need to have my article approved.

many thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zuki3juno (talkcontribs) 05:58, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Your article submission User:Zuki3juno/sandbox looks nothing like the article Batoo Tshering. If you format and source it similarly to that article, it will probably be accepted. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 10:10, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

i would like to ask you about the moral value from the film of 500 days of summer. thank you — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.67.41.27 (talk) 06:17, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The Wikipedia:Reference Desk/Humanities might be able to help you, though they will need to know what progress you have already made thinking about this topic yourself, and what it is exactly that you don't yet understand about it. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 08:56, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Need help getting the page liveVinodShekharOfficial (talk)

full pasted text of article removed, draft moved to AFC space
VinodShekharOfficial, please do not past your entire draft here, just provide us a link to it. Your draft was not in the reviewing space, and not marked as a draft, so I have fixed both of those for you. When you are ready to have it reviewed, hit the "Submit" button near the top of the page inside the colored box. However, note that your current draft needs more footnotes to published newspapers/magazines etc. that explicitly dicuss Shekhar, his career, his impact. MatthewVanitas (talk)

This is Dr. Ted Dones we submitted an article and have not heard anything back? It was for messengers a fire ministries could someone please contact us and tell us the status of our ministry it's been several months. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.28.94.39 (talk) 12:59, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please could you give a link to the article submission that you're talking about? Arthur goes shopping (talk) 13:07, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I submitted an artcle for creation which was reviewed but not accepted because of copyrights problems. In this connection, I would like to state that the article created has the reference of my own books and articles/research papers of which I have the copyright. References can be verified. I understand such references are allowed. I don't understand why it should be treated as violation of copyright?122.177.201.75 (talk) 14:53, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

In order to place portions of your copyrighted books and papers into Wikipedia, you would need to license them appropriately. You can do this following the instructions at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. Arthur goes shopping (talk) 15:10, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Mngulati, the draft was deleted due to being blatant promotion: 14 de décembre 2013 à 02:00 Drmies (Discuter | changes) a supprimé la page Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Dr. Udita Tyagi (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion) To get your code back, you request it here: Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion. Uploading image of a musician

[edit]

I am writing a page for a musician, I want to add his picture. Could you please tell me how?

Please see WP:Images for information, but bear in mind, you can't just copy a photo off of Google and submit it, because that would violate copyright. It has to be a photo that you yourself took, or another photo explicitly labeled as Public Domain, Creative Commons, etc. MatthewVanitas (talk) 16:26, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I am in the process of creating a new article, starting with my sandbox, and when I clicked on the link to submit it to WP:AFC, I realized that the article does not have a proper name on it. Is it too late? How do I put the right name on it, instead of simply sandbox? Sorry, this is my first time. 1bandsaw (talk) 18:44, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

1bandsaw, fixed it for you. Your draft is now at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Guy XVI. MatthewVanitas (talk) 18:49, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! 1bandsaw (talk) 18:50, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

MatthewVanitas, in looking further at it, would it be possible to change the name of the page to "Guy XVI de Laval"? This would make it fit right in to all the redlinks that are out there waiting for it. Thanks 1bandsaw (talk) 19:02, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Resolved

Hi there,

I submitted an article for creation before the New Year, and it was returned because of a lack of sources (understandably so).

I have revised the article, but wasn't sure if I had resubmitted it for review to the Articles for Creation. Is there a way to tell if the article is in the queue for review? The article title is "Athletic Incontinence."

Thanks for the help!

(Mikejcunn (talk) 19:36, 9 January 2014 (UTC))[reply]

No you hadn't resubmitted it, you had removed the decline template which makes it invisible to the AfC system. I've put the template back and submitted the article for you. An article that is submitted has a yellow box somewhere on the page. Rankersbo (talk) 20:12, 9 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
