[edit]

Hi,

I did not mean to create this template in articles for creation, but through the advanced section. Can someone change it for me please.

Thanks Gomach (talk) 12:30, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have moved the template to Template:Scotland FHW Squad 2013 EuroHockey. Huon (talk) 10:58, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I need help in finishing my article on Kellie Torrey. I have revamped the article and it was rejected. She is a very notable person and has a very famous sister. PLease help on publishing this article. Davisj1359 (talk) 14:42, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Notability is not inherited; having a notable sister doesn't mean Torrey herself is notable. Wikipedia establishes notability by coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject. Many of that draft's sources don't mention Torrey at all. Huon (talk) 10:58, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Amending a page title.

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to amend the page title of a page i have recently submitted and which went live at 10:08.

The page title is spelt incorrectly, with the word "measurement" missing the second "e". Please could you amend it to read "International Property Measurement Standards".

Many thanks in advance.

Hello, my article was declined and I would just like to know if there are any edits I can make to have it approved? Thank you!

  • As per the suggestions that Tazerdadog (talk · contribs) left on your submission, your references look reliable, but there's not enough significant coverage. You need to find more news or magazine pieces that talk about Mama Hope specifically for at least several paragraphs, but ideally more. Add as many of these as you can find. Additionally, you might want to also look at citing individual sentences or paragraphs to specific sources using our citation templates - see WP:CITE for instructions on this. The good news is that with a bit more work, it's likely your article will pass.Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 09:27, 28 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I recently submitted an article for review and it was declined for notability reasons. I am wondering if someone can clarify where specifically these issues are, and how I may rectify them. Thank you! Csbigg (talk) 20:01, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia measures notability by the coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject; see also WP:ORG. Most of the draft's sources are not independent, for example the partnership's own website. You will have to show that the organization has been the subject of significant coverage in third-party sources such as newspapers or reputable magazines.
