- Template:Video RTS (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)
This template was first created in 2014, of which it originally just copied the most from the Role-playing video games template, I did though change the content to actually relate to the real-time strategy genre. Though, a template covering Strategy video games already exists, which is the parent genre of real-time strategy. This should account for a good reason to delete this template. Unused table. Unclear where this should be used as I couldn't find in the related articles an exact match for this table. Gonnym (talk) 08:39, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

Unused as 2025 ICC Men's T20 World Cup Asia–East Asia-Pacific Regional Final#Points table uses a different table. Gonnym (talk) 08:36, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

Unused navboxes as the templates were quickly removed from articles they were used on and the consensus at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Ice_Hockey#Roster_navboxes is against adding them back. Gonnym (talk) 08:26, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Delete as per consensus at the WikiProject. Flibirigit (talk) 17:10, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Delete both per the consensus already noted and because the information these templates seek to add is already adequately covered by existing articles. (I posted a more detailed version of this comment in the discussion Gonnym linked above.) 1995hoo (talk) 18:17, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- Also discovered that all the players that has been the "EA Sports NHL Cover Athlete" (!) even has got some kind of box. Embarrassing.
- What is the relevance in that? And you cannot handle having a relevant template about international rosters for 13 tournaments. Embarrassing. Spuleri (talk) 01:54, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- I've stated my position and you haven't said anything to cause me to change it. You also haven't cast a vote either way. So far, there are seven votes for deletion and no votes to keep. 1995hoo (talk) 19:01, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- Seven votes for deletion and still no one has managed to give a logical explanation to it. Or does anyone really want information about EA Sports NHL Cover Athlete (!) to be here? Spuleri (talk) 22:47, 22 October 2024 (UTC)

- The project discussion explains why which is the basis for the nomination. And these are not championship teams that won the tournament they played in. All roster information is on respective articles, so no information is going to be lost if these are deleted. Project consensus does play a role here and you were WP:BLUDGEONING on there and on here. So time has come to stop. --WikiCleanerMan (talk) 23:40, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
- It only refers to "the project" and what some editors thinks. Not any logical explanation to how hockey is different compared to other sports. Championship teams should not be a thing here, just cover the rosters for the biggest tournaments. Spuleri (talk) 17:13, 23 October 2024 (UTC)

- Delete without question. It's pure clutter, particularly for those players who were at multiple international events. GoodDay (talk) 19:16, 17 October 2024 (UTC)
- It is just nonsense calling it pure clutter considering how common it is using those boxes in other sports. And it would still only be a single box if a player competed at multiple international events. Spuleri (talk) 00:46, 19 October 2024 (UTC)
- Complain all you wish. I'm not changing my position. GoodDay (talk) 00:02, 21 October 2024 (UTC)
- Or how is it possible that trivial information like Triple Gold Club or IIHF Centennial All-Star Team is in players pages but not when they participated in big tournaments? Spuleri (talk) 14:24, 21 October 2024 (UTC)

- All these boxes should stay on players pages. It is standard having them on players pages in every other major team sports and it adds good information. No proper reason to why hockey is different has been delivered. Spuleri (talk) 23:05, 18 October 2024 (UTC)

Now the cast have been purged (per WP:PERFNAV), there is not enough here to warrant a navbox. WP:NENAN --woodensuperman 09:42, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Delete per nom. Ed [talk] [OMT] 16:17, 9 October 2024 (UTC)
- Keep. I concede it was a mistake to include the "recurring cast" into this navbox, but I don't see why Nice Peter and EpicLLOYD were removed from the navbox. WP:PERFNAV is meant for performers, but ERB is something those two created. It wouldn't make sense to apply that guideline in that way here. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 02:36, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- WP:PERFNAV includes crew, writers, etc., thus this includes creators. --woodensuperman 14:31, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- @Woodensuperman: If that's the case, then it needs to be clarified within the guideline. There's gotta be some limitations on PERFNAV here because otherwise we risk a massive instruction/scope creep. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 16:19, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- It's a good guideline, otherwise you end up with WP:NAVBOXCREEP if you have a TV show creator who has made multiple TV shows, and you risk falling foul of WP:UNDUE if these people are better known for other things. --woodensuperman 18:50, 11 October 2024 (UTC)
- Okay, but this an example where the two are primarily known for creating this show. It very clearly is not WP:UNDUE.
I also don't see how your argument about multiple TV shows wouldn't apply to something like an entrepreneur who has been heavily involved with multiple businesses. Are we going to say we should remove Elon Musk from the Twitter navbox because he's already on {{SpaceX}}?
For that matter, why are you so sure WP:PERFNAV even applies here? ERB is as much a business as it is a production since they went independent. –MJL ‐Talk‐☖ 01:18, 12 October 2024 (UTC)- Even if this was repurposed as a navbox for the creators, it would still only have three links outside of this, not enough to meet WP:NENAN. --woodensuperman 08:03, 21 October 2024 (UTC)

- Does it? Because iZombie, Justice Society of America, Outlaws, Teen Titans all include creators. Questions? four Olifanofmrtennant (she/her) 04:06, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
- These are comic book navboxes, not TV/web series navboxes, so different criteria. --woodensuperman 20:42, 31 October 2024 (UTC)
