Template:NJ Hudson County Commissioners (talk · history · transclusions · logs · subpages)

See the discussion [[1]], which resulted in the deletion of many other extremely similar templates. This is just another template that I discovered after the fact. Speedy Keep and Trout Slap This was already litigated at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2022_November 22#Second batch of New Jersey county commissioner templates, which closed two days as No Consensus, even though there was a clear majority for Keep. The arguments offered there for retention -- citing the purpose of templates to store "repetitive material that may need to show up on multiple articles or pages, often with customizable input" and that the damage to hundreds upon hundreds of articles would be immense, were never rebutted. The endless pattern of delete, delete, delete at all costs, regardless of the harm, has to end once and for all. Alansohn (talk) 20:06, 2 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Don't be mad that your templates were previously deleted Wikipedia:Templates_for_discussion/Log/2022_November_3#Template:NJ_Burlington_County_Commissioners. These are not templates, period. The initial templates were deleted because editors didn't realize what was happening. Once editors came to understand the sheer senselessness of deleting these templates, they took action and stood up to the disruptive deletions, ones that continue to make the encyclopedia worse every single day. While I agree that these do not belong in templates, this was not the best time to open a TFD again, considering that the previous one closed as no consensus a week ago. At this point it's better to discuss these at the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject New Jersey and agree to convert these and other NJ article text templates I nominated at Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2022 November 22 to section transclusion first. ಮಲ್ನಾಡಾಚ್ ಕೊಂಕ್ಣೊ (talk) 12:58, 6 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
