Trouble with stating something. Help!

[edit]

Hey wikipedia. On one of my sandboxes, I am working on a section for The Last Airbender article. The article states everything perfectly. However, when trying to "convert" it to information that will be suitable for wikipedia, I am overcome with "Wikipedia Writer's block". Are there any suggestions? The section can be found on User:ChaosMaster16/Secret Life Season 2, and any help is apprecated. No experiance to the subject is needed :P ChaosMasterChat 00:57, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Brooklyn Bridge view

[edit]

There is a common image at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge, looking northeast to Manhattan I guess, with the bridge spanning across the view, and when the World Trade Center was there, it was in the background on the left. It's not just one picture but apparently it is a common place to take pictures or do all sorts of other things...I am thinking specifically of the Ryan Adams video for New York New York, which was filmed there. From Google maps I am guessing this view of the bridge and Manhattan is from the Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park, but I'm not entirely sure. (I'm not even entirely sure this description makes any sense.) Adam Bishop (talk) 02:10, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are a number of good view points of the Brooklyn Bridge. The Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park provides a view looking southwest of the bridge with downtown Manhattan behind it. On the southern side of the bridge, Brooklyn Bridge Park provides a view looking north with the rather distant Empire State Building behind. On the Manhattan side, South Street Seaport provides a view looking east-northeast with the Manhattan Bridge and Williamsburg Bridge behind. However, I guess these are the kind of images you mean from Empire-Fulton Ferry State Park. Other than that, did you have a question? Astronaut (talk) 10:52, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, sorry, that was kind of a rambling non-question. But the view I was thinking of looks like those pictures, so I guess the Ferry State Park is what I was looking for. Adam Bishop (talk) 13:23, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My first thought was this File:Manhattan-poster01.jpg, but that's not the Brooklyn Bridge! Looks to be the Queensboro Bridge[1]Baseball Bugs What's up, Doc? carrots15:29, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, here is the Ryan Adams video I was talking about. Adam Bishop (talk) 19:33, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Step Up 3D release in India

[edit]

Hey! I would like to know whether the movie 'Step Up 3D' is releasing in India or not? If it is releasing I had like to know the release date. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Arya237 (talkcontribs) 12:37, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name of Italian TV game show

[edit]

About 10 years ago, I saw a strange Italian game show, which I hope that someone will recognise. Since I don't speak Italian, it was difficult to determine exactly what was going on, but I think contestants had to answer 10 questions, and they had already been given the answers. The most striking aspect of the program was the dance troupe, in high cut shorts and low cut tops, doing walkovers and the slits. I think the title has something to do with a wolf, perhaps "Watch out for the wolf". A wolf howl was played at random intervals. Any ideas? --TrogWoolley (talk) 15:35, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It was probably In bocca al lupo! (literally: "into the wolf's mouth", but used as an ironic wish of good luck, sort of like Break a leg! [2]). The show was moderated by Carlo Conti who has presented a large number of TV shows, most of which include a female troupe dancing and posing and goofing around, sometimes called vedette (or '"professoresse" in one show). If you wish to review the show on youtube, make sure to type "in bocca al lupo" and "Conti" into the search box, otherwise you will get a lot of other stuff (Murder by Death for example). ---Sluzzelin talk 20:49, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That's it! Thanks! --TrogWoolley (talk) 14:14, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

voice on cyberchase

[edit]

204.112.104.172 (talk) 23:26, 5 August 2010 (UTC) Daear wikipedia, i am blind, so i cannot read the credits for cyberchase, and IMDB doesn't give me answers nor does it give a verry good list of cyberchase cast. Can you please help me find the voices for the following characters in cyberchase in the episodes?[reply]

  • the guilty party
    • Irma
  • the flying parallinis
    • tw
    • Diamond Joe
    • mother parallini
  • hpeace, love and hackerness
    • hector
    • dj groovy
    • CS
  • the Bluebird of Zappiness
    • lilly
    • punksy

It would be much appreciated, i will check back. Please leave a notice on my talk page when you answer this question, and thank you. good luck. PS, another option would be to put the voice actor's name on the wikipedia article List of CyberChase Characters Ps. I doubt T. Sturgeon voices Punksey, but i don't know.

I couldn't find a website that lists the credits as text.
The show's website has videos of some recent episodes. Two of the episodes you're interested in are there. According to List of Cyberchase characters, TW Parallini is also in episode 801, "The Hacker's Challenge", which is on the show's website. (Although I don't know if the same voice actor was used for both episodes.) I wrote down the credits you're interested in.
"Peace, Love and Hackerness" -- DJ Groovy: Rory O'Shea. Hector: Carlos Diaz. Cool Starmaker: Jamie Watson.
"The Bluebird of Zappiness" -- Lily: Katie Griffin. Punxie: Julie Lemieux.
"The Hacker's Challenge" -- TW Parallini: Isabel de Carteret.
For other credits you're interested in, the show's website has a contact form you might try. If you can't use the form, the HTML source code suggests the form just sends an e-mail to cyberchasepbskids@thirteen.org with subject Cyberchase Feedback, so you might try that. (Thirteen is the New York area PBS station that co-produces Cyberchase.)
Unfortunately, the only other option I can think of is to find recordings of the episodes and ask someone for help writing down the credits at the end. I looked on YouTube, but in "The Flying Parallinis", only the main cast is credited, and in "The Guilty Party", the recording was cut off before the credits appeared. --Bavi H (talk) 04:40, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The bug-eyed dude on "Gunsmoke"

[edit]

He looked really creepy and had a moustache. What's his name? 24.189.87.160 (talk) 23:54, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Gunsmoke has a near complete cast listing, at least for regular actors. Perhaps you can find him there. --Jayron32 04:27, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One bug-eyed actor who appeared on Gunsmoke was Aaron Spelling. But I don't think he had a mustache. LANTZYTALK 02:06, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
