Criterion Collection April newsletter

In The Criterion Collection's April newsletter, a vague reference is made to a movie they're soon to release. An image shows a pelican saying, "This fall, Mackie's back in town." I know it's referencing Mack the Knife, but does anybody know what movie it's referring to? Is it a movie version of The Threepenny Opera? If so, which one could it be? And if not, then what is it? Alice in Wonderland (1999 film) tv movie??? doesnt sound like the general fodder for criterian collection, however there is a dodo in alice's many versions and a Mackie was an editor on that particular version. no other alice in wonderland seems linked to a mackie. no matter how much i tried, i couldn't make make the Joseph L. Mankiewicz Alice in Wonderland (1933 film) version into a "mackie". shame really. Cary Grant. W.C. Fields, . some mortals. NOT in print. Crystal Maze

Is there any way I can obtain a DVD or video of the crystal maze, apart from the 'Best of the crystal maze' on VHS. I'm interested in a DVD of video which has every (or some) episodes from a specific series.

Also, does anybody know where I can download a sound file of the music which was played when the contestants were inside the crystal dome?

Song - Aeon Flux advert

UK Kids TV Show - Finder

I remember a TV show that I'm certain was called Finder but I can never seem to find anyone else who remembers it.

A young boy had been transported to an alternaive world, behind a huge purple glowing barrier on top of an earth ridge, the other side of which was Earth, and his home.

In each episode he was the Finder in a gameshow. The show had three contestants, and each episode, one would be chosen at random to have an object dear to them found by him.

He would be transported back to his home and had to find the object.

He could have stayed there, but had to keep returning because one of the contestants was his Sister, and she couldn't return until her object had been found. Mid to late 80s at a guess, unless I was watching repeats.Russ 20:00, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like we even have an article on The Finder. Strangely enough, I seem to remember it being broadcast in Australia under its alternative name (Finders Keepers), which is what I searched for first. Incidentally, you're not quite 100% right on the plot, but given that you're remembering something you saw back in the early 90s that probably not unexpected. Something in martial arts films...

I saw something in a martial arts film that got me wondering something. The main hero stopped a woman and sort of broke her fingers or something. And near the end, when another woman was trying to flee hanging to the ledge of a flying helicopter, the main hero jumped off the roof and strikes her with his knees, knocking her off. So I'm wondering, can men do martial arts to women also in films?

Where can I find a list of camera angles and actions?

I kow some camera angles and actions. Like the normal camera angle, the POV angle, and the upside-down angle. And some actions like the camera pan, the camera spiral, and the eye zoom, which is when the camera basically zooms into a person's eye. Now, can you tell me where I can find a place of all camera angles and actions?
