[edit]Recep Tayyip Erdoğan
[edit]this article is clearly bias, one-sided, hateful and incomplete, its one sided that paints clear negative picture of a president, I ask that fair information be promote inline with the ethical procedures and policies of Wikipedia, that hate should not be promoted against anyone, and that truth be told at all times... iv tried to implement fair edits yet people are abusing and ignoring Wikipedia's rules and polices of unbiased info, therefore this page should be locked with fair and true unbiased information whatever that may include, that ultimately does justice to readers, wikis rules and polices and every other stakeholder...
cheers Mike

- See WP:NOTSOAPBOX, WP:V, WP:GEVAL, and WP:NOTCENSORED. Wikipedia is not a platform for any politician, all new information must be supported by mainstream academic or journalistic sources, we do not create artificial balance when almost all sources agree on a point, and we are not censored to help the feelings of an autocrat.
- In short, we are not a propaganda arm for any government. Ian.thomson (talk) 00:18, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Uploading image under nonfree licence to Wikicommons
[edit]Hello there. May I please have help with inclusion of a b/w portrait photograph of the 19th c. subject of my first article on English Wiki? The article is about John Young, City architect and surveyor. I have secured permission to reproduce the image from the London Metropolitan Archives, who hold the image in their collection, provided they are acknowledged. As the image is over 100 years old, copyright no longer applies. However, my reading of Wiki protocols suggests it's nonfree. How do I upload and tag the image? Then, how do I get it from Wikicommons into the Infobox template with the correct caption? Sorry to be so long-winded. --Po Kadzieli (talk) 00:41, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- NB article moved to John Young (architect) per disambiguation guidelines.--ukexpat (talk) 01:05, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Citing academia.edu?
[edit]I have a page named Sean Nee. I also have a page in academia.edu. My academia.edu page links to my Wikipedia page and I would like to have my Wikipedia page link to my academia.edu page, as it is more up to date than my current link in the reference list to Edinburgh University explorer page. I am nervous about trying to do this, since academia.edu may have the same status as a blog page, which I know is not allowed. So, my question is: IF I am allowed to link to my academia.edu page, what is the best way to do this without running afoul of Wikipedia rules? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Vandawk8 (talk • contribs) 01:22, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- Just to clarify — are you meaning that you want to add a link to Sean Nee's academic.edu page to the Sean Nee article? Nyttend (talk) 03:45, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
UFC 157
[edit]I deleted the 'UFC 157' sub-article on the page '2013 in UFC,' since 'UFC 157 should have its own page. I want to create a new article titled 'UFC 157' but I cannot do that since it redirects me to the page '2013 in UFC.' How do I create the new UFC 157 page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theepicwarrior (talk • contribs) 05:05, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi, I answered this a few days ago when you asked it (here). Here's my comments from then:
- As you rightly point out, when you click on UFC_157 a redirect takes you to the other page. After clicking this, go to the top of the page and click on Redirected from UFC 157 which should take you to here: [1]. Normally you can then edit this page to remove the redirect and replace it with article content however the redirect is current under page protection, and the original attempt at a UFC 157 article was previously deleted (see here - Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/UFC_157. You should carefully consider whether you can address the issues raised at deletion before creating the article. CaptRik (talk) 06:10, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- What does it mean that the redirect is under page protection? Theepicwarrior (talk)
Removing warning
[edit]Hi! Where does this warning come from? Saying "from the article wizard" is not helpful, I am looking for the exact location. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 08:02, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- Try Template:Unreviewed-preload. -- zzuuzz (talk) 08:22, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

Lions
[edit]Can you please tell me where I can post that I found lions in a specific town? — Preceding unsigned comment added by ThereAreLionsHearMeRoar (talk • contribs) 09:28, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- @ThereAreLionsHearMeRoar: I am sorry to say there is no place for that on Wikipedia. Wikipedia summarizes information from reliable published sources. That excludes personal experience. —teb728 t c 09:38, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- With Blogger you can start a weblog for free. The Quixotic Potato (talk) 11:18, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
"Versus"
[edit]Why wikipedia sports game articles title are decided form "A vs B" like AlphaGo versus Lee Sedol? I can`t find any guildline it was related.--Altostratus (talk) 15:29, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Altostratus: I don't think there is a specific guideline about it- I've seen versus, v, v., vs and vs. all used in sports articles (and at in US sports articles). From experience, I think v seems to be the most common. Joseph2302 (talk) 16:29, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- If the article is about a contest which has another name, like Super Bowl XXX, then we use that name. If it isn't, then we are stuck with a descriptive title. If you have an alternate title for a specific sporting contest, use the article talk page to propose a move. --Jayron32 16:31, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Menkes disease
[edit]In the search for Menkes I am directed to Wilson's disease and Cu excess diseases. It is only through following links that I am found the link to Menkes, a Cu deficiency disease. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.85.241.66 (talk) 19:51, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- @69.85.241.66: Really, because we have an article about Menkes disease? Also, if you're looking for medical advice, please be advised that Wikipedia does not provide medical advice. Joseph2302 (talk) 20:08, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- If I enter
Menkes
in the search box at top right of every page here at wiki.riteme.site then the first search result is Menkes disease. That seems fine to me. Where are you searching and what exactly are you searching on? PrimeHunter (talk) 20:13, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
Three seems to be a vandal
[edit]User:2602:306:ce42:4d30:41de:1ada:1451:cd4f at work at National Statuary Hall Collection who has twice today deleted - with no explanation - sections about 'Women" and "Confederates". Why give him or her a third chance? I am not sure what to do other than revert the edits and report it here. Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 20:31, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- I think that he or she just did their 3rd revert, and I don't want to get blocked for doing three myself. Carptrash (talk) 20:45, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Carptrash and 2602:306:ce42:4d30:41de:1ada:1451:cd4f: What you both need to do is stop reverting and discuss at the talkpage. The removal in question is not sourced, so under WP:VERIFY it is not "obvious vandalism" to delete it. Not my area of expertise though. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:00, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- I have posted something at the talk page but I must admit that my luck in talk paging with unregistered users is not very good. Also the phrase "all men guilty of rebellion against the government that so honors them" is pretty much a matter of definition. The CSA was populated with men (and women) guilty of rebellion against the government, and being a statue in the US Capitol Building is an honor by the Federal government, the one they rebelled against. Carptrash (talk) 21:13, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- Like I said, I don't know the topic. I do however know that this is a strictly worse, POV edit. Joseph2302 (talk) 21:33, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- Agreed. And although I have approached this article mostly from a sculpture perspective I also have a pretty good grasp on the history involved.Carptrash (talk) 22:03, 30 March 2016 (UTC)

@Joseph2302: This fellow is continuing to remove language not to his (her) liking and not talking about it on the talk page. what do we do now? Carptrash (talk) 04:50, 31 March 2016 (UTC)
- @Carptrash: If they broken the 3RR, which it looks like they have, then the edit warring board is probably the way to attract administrator's attention. Joseph2302 (talk) 06:44, 31 March 2016 (UTC)

- If sign your posts with 3 of these, ~. and use standard grammar and capitalization you have a better chance of having your posts last. Okay? Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 20:50, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
- @James Duggins: First of all, you need to read WP:OWN. You do not own anything you post on Wikipedia. It is not yours and part of the core of Wikipedia is that anyone can edit anything you post. Telling people to not edit your edits just isn't going to happen. That isn't how Wikipedia works. Second, if you are in an editing dispute you should use the article talk page to discuss these things with other editors. Please be aware, this is a collaborative project. You must be open to working with other people and to having your edits changed. --Majora (talk) 21:06, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
