- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Thanks to editor Nikkimaria for letting us know that this resources is newly available. I have legal research experience but no current access to most of the HeinOnline materials, and having access will help me fill out legal details in articles psychology and education that I edit most often. -- WeijiBaikeBianji (talk, how I edit) 22:39, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

- Pajz (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I'm a frequent editor in the field of intellectual property law. IPR issues are known to have a major international edge, and comparative takes are often mandated to provide a full picture of a given topic. HeinOnline provides access to various international and U.S. journals, which will be beneficial to my article work. As examples, I've written the article on the “freedom of panorama,” the three-step test in international copyright treaties (both of which referencing multiple articles available through HeinOnline), and I'm currently writing on the right to broadcast. I'm an administrator on dewiki, an OTRS admin, and have made more than 18,000 edits to dewiki. — Pajz (talk) 00:20, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

- TJRC (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I am a frequent editor of law-related articles, especially in the area of intellectual property, constitutional law and the U.S. Supreme Court; as well as law-related biographies. I've been stymied in the past in my research, finding an article available only on HeinOnline, but not having access, being unable to use it. I've originated a number of articles from scratch that are examples of the above, including Compendium of U.S. Copyright Office Practices, Rocket docket, Presidential Recordings and Materials Preservation Act, Supreme Court Case Selections Act, Stabilization Act of 1942, Copeland "Anti-kickback" Act and Henry P. Chandler. Those are some of the articles I've started; I've edited many more. TJRC (talk) 01:28, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

- Mendaliv (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I do a lot of editing to law topics, and have used Hein in the past for a lot of things on Wikipedia. My access (via a University) recently expired, so this is perfect for me. Between bar journals, old statute books, and just about the broadest collection of law journals, I can't even begin to list the uses I'd have for Hein in writing Wikipedia articles. —/Mendaliv/2¢/Δ's/ 10:16, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

- Ealdgyth (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) Mainly work on medieval history topics, but occasionally I stray into classical history or early modern. - Binksternet (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) A seven-year veteran, I am the main contributor to four FAs and 37 GAs. I have written about legal/social/governmental topics such as black genocide, World's Congress of Representative Women, National Women's Rights Convention, Iran Constituent Assembly, 1949, Desegregation in the United States Marine Corps, National Day of Prayer and draft-card burning. A matter of continuing interest are the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. In many tangential topics and biographies, a legal matter is part of the story to tell, and access to HeinOnline would greatly assist in fleshing out that aspect. - John M Baker (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I've been editing since 2006, primarily in the areas of word and phrase origins and finance and investment. The latter is both an area in which Wikipedia is not particularly strong, and one in which HeinOnlein resources would be quite useful. I am also active on the Wikipedia Resource Exchange and regularly share resources there with other editors. Although I have access to several other databases, I do not have access to HeinOnlein. - MRG90 (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I am an active user on fa.wiki. I work on articles that are related to same-sex marriage. I have one good article: ازدواج همجنسگرایان. I have also written tens of articles related to the legal cases of same-sex marriage (see some of them: 1, 2, 3, ...) almost all of them are written by using free sources. - Unavoidable (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I'm highly active on Canadian and British law WikiProjects. I help maintain various pages including Template:Infobox_SCC. I have contributed dozens of new articles related to IP law and administrative law (e.g. Hubbard v Vosper, Euro-Excellence Inc v Kraft Canada Inc), as well as helping to clean up many more. Access would help improve some currently un-tended to areas of WikiProject Law and Canadian Law. I used to have access to HeinOnline but not anymore. --Unavoidable (talk) 01:32, 8 May 2015 (UTC)

For example, Green Lake (Texas) required case law for its history (which is incomplete since I had to resort to G-books). Many election-related articles concern ballot access lawsuits. Other articles (such as Benjamin Tappan and Spencer Roane), while partially improved, stall in part because my only other access to HeinOnline requires driving to the Library of Congress, which is also surrounded by a two-hour or shorter parking zone. - Sure. For example, I've recently been doing research on European companies that were building amusement rides and transportation systems in the United States and Canada in the 1970s and 1980s. After looking through the list of libraries HeinOnline has, I believe there would be useful information in their collection for me to use for citations. --hmich176 18:12, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

We can certainly arrange to get you access to the HeinOnline database, but do you believe you would make use of it after obtaining the documents specific to the amusement rides and transportation systems? -Thibbs (talk) 12:33, 17 February 2017 (UTC)

Is the intention to copy documents from HeinOnline to WikiSource or are you planning to use access to provide original content at WikiSource? -Thibbs (talk) 01:18, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Thibbs: I didn't mean to say that I intended to copy documents from HeinOnline onto Wikisource. That would be copyvio. Instead, I intend to continue uploading legal documents (actual, real statutes and regulatory instruments) on to Wikisource, and supplement that effort with producing some content for Wikipedia (wherever I can find suitable sources, e.g. on JSTOR and HeinOnline) and Wikibooks. — Nearly Headless Nick {c} 06:32, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington: OK that sounds good. The Terms of Use for HeinOnline can be found here. They apply to copyrighted materials like law review articles and to public domain documents like statutes. Taking this into consideration, do you think that you would be able to make use of HeinOnline at WikiSource in a manner consistent with their user rules? -Thibbs (talk) 11:53, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Thibbs: Yes, I will use HeinOnline in a manner consistent with its terms of use. Materials such as statutes and regulatory instruments will be sourced from elsewhere. — Nearly Headless Nick {c} 03:19, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
- @Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington: Approved Expect an email within 24 hours with further details. -Thibbs (talk) 11:32, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

- @Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington: - You meet the minimum requirements for an account, but it also looks like you have made an average of 2.5 edits per month since July 2013. Do you anticipate a similar rate of editing in the coming months? -Thibbs (talk) 21:14, 18 February 2017 (UTC)
- davidkinnen (talk · contribs · central auth · count · email) I have been reviewing and rewriting articles related to Scots law and the Courts of Scotland and Judiciary of Scotland. I am seeking to access HeinOnline so that I can add more references that go beyond the current sources - which are mainly related to the Scottish Government, Scottish Acts of Parliament and Statutory Instruments, and related newspaper articles. I would also like to add information that provides evaluative or critical aspects. I would like to add referenced information on the impact of the various changes in Scots civil and criminal procedure, and enable an objective comparison with other jurisdictions.
