Adriaan van der Willigen won the silver medal of Teylers Tweede Genootschap in 1809 for his essay on the reason for the small number of history painters in the Netherlands ( De redenen van het klein getal der Nederlandsche historieschilders). I just updated his page to say he won the gold medal in 1806 for the same essay, but together with Pieter Kikkert and not on his own.
