- Yet another excellent restoration by Durova. The design on this poster is fabulous, and the image very well illustrates the recruitment campaign for the Navy in WWI.

Leaning opposeon general principal as a single-use image. I just don't think single-use images should be considered as FP material. The only thing keeping me from an outright oppose right away is the age of the image. This image should be considered for use in other articles before being proposed here with its minimal EV or sent directly to WP:VPC, IMO.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 13:28, 3 June 2010 (UTC)

- Image added to Military recruitment per discussion. NauticaShades 00:54, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Support That is a great article for this image. Thanks. That makes me feel a bit better about its EV.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 03:06, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- I am sort of curious about the placement in the Military recruitment article. I would personally prefer if either it were in the gallery or if more of the gallery images were in the text using Template:Multiple image, preferably the latter. However, you could leave this decision to the local editors of that article.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 15:00, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, the reason I added it to the main text was that the passage specifically mentioned that "Between 1915 and 1918, 42% of all army recruitment posters were themed primarily by patriotism", which is precisely what this poster is doing. NauticaShades 15:12, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Oppose: IMO, Its EV is not that great. In Military recruitment, it can be well put in Recruitment posters gallery. It is not as central to the article as the uncle sam poster (a FP). Even in History of the United States Navy, a navy ship or battle scene would be a better replacement.--Redtigerxyz Talk 18:17, 4 June 2010 (UTC)
- Yes, but this image is very explicit about its appeal to patriotism. Uncle Sam is implicit. NauticaShades 00:05, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
- Support Good-quality restoration with strong EV. The choice of a naval anti-aircraft gun to promote the Navy in 1918 is particularly interesting and noteworthy given that this technology was in its infancy at the time. Nick-D (talk) 00:31, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
- Support Good restoration and very good EV. Cat-five - talk 05:04, 6 June 2010 (UTC)
