Wikipedia:Featured and good topic candidates/Sacnoth/archive1
Sacnoth is a video game developer founded in 1997 by former Square staff including composer Hiroki Kikuta. The company is best known for the Shadow Hearts series, which spun off from the 1999 video game Koudelka. They are also known for their work on two Neo Geo Pocket Color titles Dive Alert and Faselei!. Initially independent, they were acquired by Aruze in 2002, going through two name changes being being folded into Aruze in 2009.

All of the articles have been passed for GA, and all articles are related to the developer. They are a developer which was recognised in a limited capacity, and their Shadow Hearts series has become a cult classic. As Sacnoth ceased to exist in 2009 and its staff have moved on to other things, no further titles are likely to appear and the topic will likely remain stable going forward. PresN brought the article for its founder Kikuta up to GA in 2010, while I ended up working on both the developer article and those of their developed games. --ProtoDrake (talk) 20:40, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- I'm not 100% on the scope here - you're excluding the founder (Hiroki Kikuta), so presumably it's "games by Sacnoth", but also exclude the Shadow Hearts series page + subtopic link to Wikipedia:Featured topics/Shadow Hearts. Wikipedia:Featured topics/Action Button Entertainment includes its founder, while Wikipedia:Featured topics/Games by Quantic Dream and Wikipedia:Featured topics/Looking Glass Studios video games make the topic explicitly just the games, so there's precedents to choose from. --PresN 18:54, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- I've adjusted it. Sorry about the confused messages, not feeling myself. I've adjusted it to cover Sacnoth the company, including its founder and games/series. Hopefully that fixes the scope problem. --ProtoDrake (talk) 20:30, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Support (Note: I got Kikuta to GA back in 2010, but have not touched any other article in the topic before or since) --PresN 20:34, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- @PresN: I've corrected that. --ProtoDrake (talk) 20:40, 13 September 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, I didn't even think about that, I was just putting a disclaimer on my support. Thanks! --PresN 21:09, 13 September 2023 (UTC)

- Support. This is a neat one! I don't really see BLP video game GAs too often as well. Great work! Panini! • 🥪 18:43, 14 September 2023 (UTC)
