There is so much good information in this article. Much of it has excellent sources. But, there are also bloated sections-- two plot summaries and far too much to wade through. The connection to history, the opening paragraph and the section on themes are the best. Both plot summaries are too long. This article needs to be trimmed! futurebird 05:21, 8 June 2006 (UTC)
The statement in the article that Dune was the first hard-cover science fiction novel on the best-seller list is not correct. That honour belongs to Stranger in a Strange Land.
