Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style makes articles harder to read. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Yeru-Shalayim was turned into a redirect to Jerusalem as that is the word we use for it in English. You can see your work at http://wiki.riteme.site/w/index.php?title=Yeru-Shalayim&oldid=494092916 What you can do is improve the Jerusalem article instead. But please be careful, as this is an area where many editors disagree with each other.

[edit]Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living persons. Thank you. Jac16888 Talk 19:45, 13 June 2012 (UTC)
- Look it's very simple. Saying someone is a spy/arms dealer/guerrilla fighter without proof is bad, if there are no reliable sources that say it, you can't put it in an article. If there aren't any reliable sources about the subject at all, then they do not meet our notability policies and cannot have an article--Jac16888 Talk 21:45, 13 June 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Mousa Mohammed Abu Marzook, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. GabrielF (talk) 21:22, 24 November 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 14:16, 12 December 2012 (UTC)
- That was written by a bot, but I'm a human. Your comments on talk pages should include identification (at least a link to your user page or your user talk page) and the date. If you don't like the standard signature that ~~~~ produces, you can change it in your preferences. Thanks. Zerotalk 01:08, 29 December 2012 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:25th anniversary of Hamas, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Even making spelling and grammatical corrections in others' comments is generally frowned upon, as it tends to irritate the users whose comments you are correcting. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Jim1138 (talk) 01:49, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Talk:25th anniversary of Hamas with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. The edit history of the page reveal all. When leaving talk on other's pages, such as mine, please use the "New section" tab. You placed your talk in the middle of a block of code, messing up my talk page. I fixed it, but please be careful in the future.

Comment. Zahav511, you removed more than your own comments for this page. Altering the talk page comments of others, or altering your own so that it changes the meaning of the discussion, is strongly discouraged. If you wish to withdraw comments after they have been responded to, you may strike them by adding <s> at the beginning of the struck text and </s> at the end. If your comments contain content that you feel is too sensitive for public view, you should seek suppression by contacting WP:Oversight. Of course, if the content is that sensitive you should not post it at all. Tiderolls 02:42, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
- Further. User accounts cannot be deleted. I would regret your choice to leave Wikipedia, but you know what is best for you. If you can show me where your e-mail address has been posted, it is possible for me to remove that content. If you wish, you may e-mail me the diff by clicking the "E-mail this user" link on the left sidebar of my user page or user talk page. Tiderolls 02:55, 2 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi, Zahav511. You have now been reverted by multiple editors with regard to the naming of "Hebron" in this article. Please understand that to continue to revert without first discussing the matter on the article's talk page could be construed as edit warring. You may read more on Wikipedia's naming convention at WP:COMMONNAME and a full explanation of edit warring can be found at WP:Edit warring. As always you may post a message on my user talk if you have any questions. Regards Tiderolls 05:01, 2 January 2013 (UTC)
Regarding Talk:25th anniversary of Hamas
[edit]I've seen both of your comments there and at Jim1138's talk page.
Firstly, if you wish to talk directly to someone about editing, I suggest to visit their own talk page, instead of at a more visible article. Secondly, it's okay to remove your comment threads on talk pages, unless someone has responded to you. Then, that becomes public domain. Thirdly, anything you post at Wikipedia, whether it's a period or a paragraph is visible in the edit histories. This helps those who wish to combat vandals and report them. Your posts were/are legitimate and do not appear too harmful. Finally, do not let reverts get to you. Please don't take this example as a reason to quit editing. Just remember, though, anything you post can be viewed and/or changed. Just don't take it personally, as most think they have Wikipedia's best interests at heart. Have a great New Year! — WylieCoyote 11:56, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Jubusites
[edit]Hi, Zahav511.
You asked why I am interested in the Jebusites. I did not get back to you more promptly because I suffered an injury in September 2012 and was in a nursing home until recently, when I became sufficiently recovered to return to my old pursuits.
I have been interested in the Jebusites for many years because of two things. (1) I am a double-coin (if you know what that means in Ashkenazic). (2) Some years ago I learned of the Jebusite Hypothesis and found it persuasive. (I think Cross's attempted refutation of the J.H. is preposterous.) I could add a third thing, I suppose, which is that I am interested in where I came from.
I am also interested in the Jebusite Conspiracy, in which the Jebusites hijacked the Judahite throne for Solomon upon David's death. Do you know of any good reading material on any of this?

January 2014 - Names of Jerusalem
[edit]Hi Zahav511:
In your materials on the names of Jerusalem, I note that you do not mention Shalem, the god of twilight, and a city god of the old city (maybe circa 2000 BCE; also you do not mention Yeru Shalem, "the foundation of Shalem" as one explanation of the name. What are your thoughts about that? -- PraeceptorIP (talk) 19:24, 9 January 2014 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
