Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 14:36, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

IRC

[edit]

Zabadac - are you still on WP:IRC? Trafford09 (talk) 15:02, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to High-end audio. While objective prose about products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 15:06, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Zabadac

[edit]

Nice to chat to you on WP:IRC just now. Just a couple of things. I realise you're very new to Wikipedia, and I know you said you've no direct connection to the site(s) you added links to - you're just a keen amateur who's interested in those aspects.

Please follow Wikipedia's 'assume good faith' policy if chatting to other editors - as I'm sure you will. The other thing I didn't mention is to always please add an WP:edit summary, whenever chatting to somebody on their talk page, or editing an article.

Good luck with your discussions and edits. Feel free to drop us a message on my talk page, if you have any further queries. Bye for now, Trafford09 (talk) 15:42, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

new sections

[edit]

Hi Zabadac. Got your qn. Which user is it please? Mr. Ollie?

If there's no "new Section" tab, then there should be a tab that says "+" on it instead? This does the same thing.

By the way, when typing, please don't leave a space(s) at the start of any line.

or else it goes into a box, like this!

Cheers, Trafford09 (talk) 15:53, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Zabadac. You have new messages at Binksternet's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Please do not remove content from pages without explanation, as you did with this edit to High-end audio. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing. Alansohn (talk) 18:33, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. You will be blocked from editing the next time you vandalize a page, as you did with this edit to High-end audio. Bgs022 Questions? Comments? 19:03, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As I see it

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your discussion on my talk page, and the subsequent messages you left me. I have to advise you now to tread very slowly and carefully. Other editors are, I think, looking at your edit history, and drawing their own conclusions.

What I fear they see is a person who's recently opened up a Wikipedia account. The person has tried to add a specific external link - despite warnings - into a number of related articles. This appears to be WP:spam in their eyes; they probably fear that you are related to the web site in question and thus have a Conflict Of Interest. Then they see that you are deleting many external links from articles, as your own choice isn't allowed. They see that you do so without (my talk page excepted) polite enquiries from your part, on their own talk pages.

As you've received a final warning, you seriously risk having your account WP:blocked - either temporarily or permanently by a WP:admin - somebody with more powers than I have.

What I would advise you to do is to first talk carefully to the editors who have given you warnings. It's highly unlikely that they are all acting without good faith. So, please try to politely reason with them individually. If you instead do any further removals of external links, you will only present yourself in a worse light.

Yes, there are grievance procedures if you think the Wikipedia policies are not working, or are being wrongly applied. I'll search for some avenues, and post them here shortly. But in the meantime, apart from reading WP policies, I'd have to advise you to be very careful. Feel free to chat back to me. Trafford09 (talk) 20:02, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
