[edit]Per WP:REFACTOR, you are not remove comments from a talk page other than your own. If you take issue with what somebody said, report it at WP:ANI per WP:NPA. Editing as you have done raises suspicions about yourself, so you should likely leave well-enough alone. Chris Troutman (talk) 15:20, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- No problem. I was directed to WP:ANI by MrOllie but that was for "chronic and unmanageable problems", so I wondered did it meet the threshold? I will try to work out how to do what you ask. However, as you might see from the comment I left on MrOllie's Talk page, I am, rather unexpectedly, dealing with unpleasant real world implications of other people's edits. Blocked as a sockpuppet

Request reason:
Hi - I came to wikipedia this morning looking for help from an experienced wikipedia editor MrOllie, whose edits have (however inadvertently) caused me a real world difficulty, for reasons which are not his fault. I shared my difficulty with him and he gave me advice to go to ANI. I took a different course, because I mistakenly thought his advice was incorrect (on my reading of the ANI page, as an inexperienced wikipedia editor, I thought it did not look the right place). I took later correction from another user Chris troutman. In the length of time it took me to implement his advice (which was go to ANI, only to discover in ANI that the correct avenue was Oversight - in other words, I had been right that ANI was not where I need to be with my problem), I discovered that I was reported as a sockpuppet, even while (a) I was following his advice about what to do and (b) I have a complaint in with Oversight about posts that have been made about (real world) me by sock puppets on Patrick Treacy's page. I have also offered to share the proof of the real wrold difficulties that MrOllies edits have caused. On the SPI, Bbb23 asked why Checkuser was necessary before summarily blocking me: I want Checkuser, because I am not a sock puppet. I came this morning looking for help and advice from Wikipedia, I have followed that advice (if belatedly) and now, a few hours later, I have been the victim of intemperate criticism from other users and I have been lumped in with the very sock puppets I am complaining about. This is beyond lunacy. Where is the evidence? I had a question about a problem arising from MrOllie. He seemed like the most logical person to ask for help about where I should go next. I was then accused of "harrassing" him when I was only trying to find out how to fix my problem within the 4 walls of wikipedia. I have done exactly what I was told by Chris troutman which was to start at ANI and now I am lumped in with the editors who have caused the problem I came here looking for help to fix. I hope to God that oversight can at least help. You idiots owe me an apology YourBelgianThings (talk) 19:59, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
