Mass Changes

[edit]

Someone came in and made mass changes deleting entire sections and making the entire article more positive for the subject which is a violation of the NPOV and other WP policies. This article has been accepted work with out object from numerous editors over the last year. It is not acceptable to simply come in and begin rewriting in toto other people's work. Any further changes to this page should be discussed on this page and should only be made with no objection listed here as found in Wikipedia's Consensus Editing Policy. Wikipedia policy is very clear on this matter and mass removal of work is considered to be vandalism see Wikipedia's Policy on Edit Warring or Wikipedia's Policy on Vandalism or Biography of Living Persons Policy. This person is currently a candidate for office. This page and that of the opponents in this race are on watch. Both this page and that of the current office holder have been noticed that chagnes will be reverted unless a community consensus is reached through initial posting on the discussion page. If there is further discussion or a need to inquire on additional input for reaching a consensus please feel free to post at Wikipedia Alabama Project PageAlabamacross (talk) 22:15, 20 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I agree with the previous editor. Mass changes shouldn't be made to an accepted and published article. As there is an election coming up this is likely to become even more controversial and attempts to whitewash (remove negative references by candidates supporters) or smear the candidate will certainly happen. I have placed this page on watch and encourage other memebers of the Alabamaproject to do so.Sirgivealot (talk) 23:40, 23 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

set for deletion

[edit]

I don't know why anyone would suggest that this page be set for deletion. Luther Strange as a losing politician in Alabama hold significant media accolades for his clossial failure in the last election cycle where he was revealed to be a wealthy politician. His abnormal height made him somewhat famous before being upended in the election. He is again on the ticket running as a republican against the incumbent republican attorney general. The state news archive al.com shows some 100 stories with his name in the last few months. For the state of Alabama this would be considered significant and I therefore object to any removal. 69.254.216.215 (talk) 04:38, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

POV

[edit]

While most of the information in this article appears to be factually accurate, it is written in a tone that suggests bias. For example:

He was admitted to the Louisiana Bar the same year and is a practicing attorney in Alabama even though he never attended a law school in Alabama.

The facts of that sentence are true, but ending the sentence with "even though he never attended a law school in Alabama" seems to be an unnecessary attempt to shift the neutrality of the article.

There are other examples as well that should be discussed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.220.221.89 (talk) 17:12, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
