Commercial use of Image:Voxday.jpg[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Voxday.jpg, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Voxday.jpg has a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission, which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3). While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because content on Wikipedia needs to be compatible with the GNU Free Documentation License, which allows anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{GFDL-self}} to license it under the GFDL, or {{cc-by-sa-2.5}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain.

If you did not create this media file but want to use it on Wikipedia, there are two ways to proceed. First, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list if you believe one of those fair use rationales applies to this file. Second, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. This bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion, it did not nominate Image:Voxday.jpg itself. Feel free to leave a message on the bot operator's talk page if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot. If you have any questions about what to do next or why your image was nominated for speedy deletion please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thanks. --Android Mouse Bot 2 11:55, 16 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

August 2007[edit]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Theodore Beale, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with,
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors,
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Reinistalk 10:46, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

October 2011[edit]

Thank you for your contributions. Please remember to mark your edits, such as your recent edits to Theodore Beale, as "minor" only if they truly are minor edits. In accordance with Help:Minor edit, a minor edit is one that the editor believes requires no review and could never be the subject of a dispute. Minor edits consist of things such as typographical corrections, formatting changes, or rearrangement of text without modification of content. Additionally, the reversion of clear-cut vandalism and test edits may be labeled "minor". Thank you. OlYeller21Talktome 20:37, 24 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Editing a page with which you have a conflict of interest[edit]

Hi - You have reverted a large number of edits to the Theodore_Beale page with no discussion on the Talk page. You have been warned in the past about editing this page due to apparent conflict of interest. Please come have a conversation on the article's talk page about the situation rather than large edits and reverts which may represent a conflict of interest. It would be better to talk with other editors and reach consensus rather than acting alone in this fashion. 76.218.68.67 (talk) 20:18, 6 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to join with the IP editor in inviting you to come to the article's talk page and discuss the material you want to add. It's not nice to just keep adding it back in, ok?— alf.laylah.wa.laylah (talk) 02:41, 13 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed content from Theodore Beale. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Theodore Beale. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been reverted or removed.

  • If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor then please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
  • If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive, until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively could result in loss of editing privileges. Since you have a clear conflict of interest regarding this topic, you are strongly advised to restrict your contributions to the article's talk page. —SMALLJIM  14:07, 30 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. Your edits have been reverted or removed.

Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in you being blocked from editing.  —SMALLJIM  12:39, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Your editing to Theodore Beale has become disruptive and is not benefiting the encyclopedia. Please read Wikipedia:Disruptive editing and WP:POINT to see why. If you care about Wikipedia, go and work on some other articles – there's plenty of useful work you could do!  —SMALLJIM  12:51, 2 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
