About me
As of 2022 I haven't been very active on Wikipedia for a few years now. It no longer feels like the exciting place for an editor/administrator that it once was. However, my enthusiasm for the project has waxed and waned several times before, so I may yet return. I still keep an eye on my watchlist and make the occasional edit. I also try to respond quickly to any comments on my talk page.
Some of my article contributions are listed here. My commitment to Wikipedia as an administrator is here.
About Wikipedia
The English Wikipedia has 126,761 active editors, out of 48,801,704 accounts that have been registered. Countless people have edited without using an account. There are 846 administrators, of whom fewer than 500 are active as of early 2022. Together the community has made 1,274,112,354 edits to 62,667,384 pages, of which just 6,962,528 are articles – so a lot goes on behind the scenes.
A request for comment is open to discuss whether AI-generated images (meaning those wholly created by generative AI, not human-created images modified with AI tools) should be banned from use in articles.
A new filter has been added to the Special:Nuke tool, which allows administrators to filter for pages in a range of page sizes (in bytes). This allows, for example, deleting pages only of a certain size or below. T378488
Non-administrators can now check which pages are able to be deleted using the Special:Nuke tool. T376378
