Control copyright icon Hello Wordsmithowl! While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 18:59, 1 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings, I unfold my gratitude for bringing to my attention in a dignified tone the grounds on which my submission got rejected. I acknowledge your remarks and the other editor's remarks and comprehend the reasons for the decision rendered. As a novice, I conducted extensive research and endeavoured to acquaint myself with the various guidelines of Wikipedia. However, I now apprehend the enormity of my unfamiliarity with the intricacies of the platform. I am firmly determined to enhance upon my shortcomings and envisage a revised submission with a superior subject matter in the near future.
Furthermore, I extend my appreciation for your text on my talk page to furnish me with aid in being accustomed to the platform. Such a gesture of generosity and support is of inestimable significance to me, and I shall undoubtedly avail myself of this hospitable bid.
Good day
Yours sincerely,

Hello @Wordsmithowl. Thank you for showing your interest on the Wikipedia Teahouse to join the cleanup drive that I have started. Currently I am on a small Wikibreak and may not help in guiding you or contributing anything to the Wikipedia myself for atleast another 2 weeks. However if you still wish to join and be part of this cleanup then I can suggest you the smaller and easier part of the sections until you gain experience here. Notify me once you reply. Thank you. 456legend(talk) 10:16, 2 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings,
I empathize with your current circumstances, as even my obligations confine my availability on Wikipedia. Nevertheless, I am keen to lend my hand to your cause. I am uncertain if I will be of help without guidance but do let me know your suggestions pertaining to what I have to edit. I will try from my end.
Good day-

Hi @Wordsmithowl, for now you can reorder the Election results and Members of Legislative Assembly sections from the older year to the newer years similar to Vijayawada West Assembly constituency as I have already cleaned up this article. Now you can safely start your work on the uncleaned article Kondapi Assembly constituency as part of trial, although personal sandbox is highly recommended and preferred for trial runs but this is not be considered as a trial. If you do understand what I have just said then it's fine. But if you don't then just ask me back before you start anything. Thank you.
