Welcome!

Your contributions are welcome, but please hold off on details regarding Anna Nicole Smith for a little while. The page is getting a lot of traffic and editors want to make sure all the facts are accurate, verifiable and properly sourced. Also, it might be hard to add tidbits of new information until any vandalism dies down. Danski14 22:30, 8 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Three ghosts of Batman

[edit]

I have added a "{{prod}}" template to the article Three ghosts of Batman, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Closed

[edit]

I've closed the merge discussion concerning Three ghosts of Batman.

My apologies for the late closure, there has been a backlog on such discussions. - jc37 02:39, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked IPs

[edit]

What you are describing is certainly possible, and as far as it is the normal protocol, called a "soft-block", where IP addresses are blocked so that only registered users can edit. If you think some IPs were "hard blocked" so that no one can edit, what I would do it to create a new post on the Administrators' noticeboard, and make sure to specify the specific IP addresses in question. Note that Wikipedia administrators will not block addresses unless there is direct evidence of vandalism from them, so I don't think you will be able to block a range of IP addresses by request unless there is very persistent vandalism on them. It is a policy of Wikipedia to keep it as open as possible, and to use blocks as sparingly as possible. See Wikipedia:Blocking IP addresses for more info. River Song

[edit]

Wikipedia doesn't work on mights or ifs. It works on facts, which River has a decidedly low amount of. She doesn't need an article, as her character can be summed up in three sentences at present. When next episode comes, maybe then an article can come of it, but for now a stub about a character whom we know nothing concrete is hardly necessary. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 06:43, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If she were an important character, you wouldn't have to ask me to do it. She doesn't need an article if there's nothing to say about her. All she is is an unanswered question, and there's no sources covering her to justify elaborating on it. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 20:38, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The second episode revealed a lot more, and proved she was the Doctor's future companion. And perhaps wife? (Wordforge (talk) 20:41, 12 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]
Mere plot details aren't enough. Look at Jenny (Doctor Who). — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 20:45, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Penguin, Jenny appeared in one episode and she gets a page, but River Song appears in two episodes and gets no page? (Wordforge (talk) 07:08, 13 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

Again, look at Jenny's article and how it is different from River's. I will not discuss this with you if you are unwilling to pay attention. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 15:40, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Don't insult my intelligence, just admit you are wrong on this one or I will go over you head and see what they think.

I'm not insulting your intelligence, I'm telling you to pay attention. You are not. You are merely harping on the fact that she's been in two episodes, while I keep telling you, and I'm going to bold this so you get the point, that she needs more information than just what happens to her in the episode. Look at Jenny's article. Don't just tell me you've looked: look. Look at all the outside references discussing her. Find that for River and you'll have a point. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 21:32, 15 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

FFS The reason there is more about Jenny is because there is a page about her. There is shedloads of stuff we could put on. Half the Jenny page is cr*p!!(Wordforge (talk) 19:26, 16 June 2008 (UTC))[reply]

And that pretty much spells the end of this conversation. Obviously you're incapable of assessing the situation in a reasonable manner, so I'm done trying. I have explained to you what is required for Jenny to have a page. River does not have these things. Simple as that. — Trust not the Penguin (T | C) 21:12, 16 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Looks like I was right after all eh? Trust not the Penguin ? Wordforge (talk) 16:39, 1 May 2011 (UTC) MWHA HA! HA AH HA HA HHA AHA HA!!![reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Paul Nuttall, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page EEA. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Nomination of Global Britain for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Global Britain is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Global Britain until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Ad Orientem (talk) 22:50, 4 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Perun (comics) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

The coverage (references, external links, etc.) does not seem sufficient to justify this article passing Wikipedia:General notability guideline requirement nor the more detailed Wikipedia:Notability (fiction) supplementary essay. WP:BEFORE did not reveal any significant coverage on Gnews, Gbooks or Gscholar. If you disagree and deprod this, please explain how it meets them on the talk page here in the form of "This article meets criteria A and B because..." and ping me back through WP:ECHO or by leaving a note at User talk:Piotrus. Thank you. PS. As a SOFTDELETE alternative, consider redirecting this to List of Marvel Comics characters: P if this PROD is unchallenged

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
