Deletion

You said, "I just opened a small bank in curacao and I wanted my name as CEO and Co-Founder on my personal Wikipedia so everyone can see about my life and how I got there please don't delete my personal page". I'm afraid that that isn't how Wikipedia works. It's not social Mediaa like Facebook, or a profile directory like LinkedIn. It is an encyclopaedia. To have an article (not a 'Wikipedia') here, you have to pass WP:BIO (or WP:CORP for companies) with reliable independent sources to prove it that fit with WP:RS. Writing about yourself is strongle not recommended - please see WP:AUTOBIO and also WP:COI about conflict of interest. You don't have a 'personal page' on Wikipedia - no-one does. Apart from user pages, that is, which are simply for editors working on the encyclopaedia to say a bit about themselves. (Mine keeps who I am very firmly hidden, while it tells quite a bit about me. I don't want to be thought to be spamming, so I don't even edit anything about me or anything I am closely connected with.) Peridon (talk) 21:41, 8 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
