Disambiguation link notification for May 31
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Miles Reid (rugby union), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bath (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:50, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
Luke James (rugby union) moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Luke James (rugby union), does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

[edit]Hi mate, just seen you add these lists to a few players. There was a brief discussion on this about 2 years ago on the Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Rugby union page archived here. I think this is a reasonable one for discussion again on the talk page, so just wanted to highlight it to you before you do loads in case it gets deleted citing that discussion.Skeene88 (talk) 10:46, 8 July 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Lapérouse-class survey ship, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

Ruaridh Jackson
[edit]Hi there @Woggie10: hope you are well? I just wanted to explain this revert I recently made to your edit on List of 2020–21 Pro14 transfers. When I read the source you provided with your edit, it seemed to me that Jackson has announced his retirement with immediate effect, as he appears to be speaking about his retirement in the past tense, indicating that is has already happened. That would mean his retirement took place during the current 2019–20 season, and should be noted on the 2019–20 page, rather than on the 2020–21 page, bearing in mind that the 2019–20 could still resume as it hasn't been declared officially as cancelled. What do you think? Happy to discuss further, or perhaps there is another source that proves that Jackson is retiring at the end of the 2019–20 season, and therefore should be on the 2020–21 page. Kind regards, MunsterFan2011 (talk) 14:41, 18 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hello MunsterFan2011. I've never used talk before so no idea if you will see this is or not but i disagree with your reverting for two reasons. Firstly this article states that he will be retiring at the end of hte current season (https://www.rugbypass.com/news/co-captain-callum-gibbins-the-latest-to-leave-glasgow/) and secondly due to the coof and the exected extention of the season, literally everyone would be retiring/swapping clubs/be release during the "current season" meaning literally the current season transfer pages would be empty. Spirit of the decisions to changes clubs etc is to do so at the end of the current season not mid season. Therefore i suggest a simple NB should be put at the top of each page for the current season which notes that they may be playing for a different club in the same season but would effectively be for the following season Woggie10 (talk) 17:27, 20 May 2020 (UTC)
- Hi @Woggie10: thanks for getting back to me. As you say, that source from rugbypass clearly shows that Jackson is retiring at the end of the season, rather than immediately, so I have restored the edit to the page and added this source too, thank you. You make a very good point about the current situation regarding contracts and the potential resumption of the 2019–20 season after departing players' contract end on 30 June; perhaps it would be a good idea for you bring this up on Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Rugby union, as I'd imagine there's a few contributors on here who will have an opinion on the matter. I'll leave that up to you. Again, thanks for your input. All the best, MunsterFan2011 (talk) 14:46, 21 May 2020 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Lapérouse-class survey ship
[edit]Hello, Woggie10. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Lapérouse-class survey ship".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. code.
If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.
Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 21:39, 13 June 2020 (UTC)
Do you have a WP:reliable source that the players you removed are the ones that did not sign new contracts. Have you a [[WP:reliable source that showa they have left the club? Rather than edit on press speculation, can you replace them until such time that proof comes to light. noq (talk) 19:31, 2 July 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hello, I'm Danners430. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, British Rail Class 458, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Danners430 (talk) 21:57, 17 December 2024 (UTC)
- Maybe you should look at the sources rather than just deleting stuff you don't understand and asking questions later. The source was already provided i simply correct the original persons edit because they made a stupid mistake by not properly updating the data. If you have a problem with referencing take it up with the guy who made the original edit. Next time understand what the issues is because doing stuff like that makes people less inclined to edit Woggie10 (talk) 19:15, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- I have had a look. I can’t see anything obvious that sources your edit. And if I, an experienced editor, can’t find it then how do you expect a regular reader to find the source. If the source already exists, then reuse it to source the edit you’re making. Danners430 (talk) 19:52, 18 December 2024 (UTC)
- The source has already been provided. The previous edit with the source has already been accepted. The formatting of sources has already been accepted. The standard of formatting is accepted across many many many articles of the same type. My "edit" is not an edit it is a correction Woggie10 (talk) 03:40, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- Are you aware how to reuse existing sources? Because that’s what I’m suggesting. Oh and by the way, “corrections” are still edits and require sourcing. Danners430 (talk) 08:35, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
