Testing.
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. No "&" please
[edit]Hi there. I am sure you mean well, but replacing "and" with "&" in professional wrestling results is not helpful and goes against the established style of the event articles. MPJ-DK (talk) 23:30, 16 March 2019 (UTC)
Metric measurements
[edit]There is no good reason to remove the convert templates for mph/kph, etc. in auto race articles. Many Wikipedia readers are not from the United States and are therefore more familiar with metric measurements. Indyguy (talk) 02:01, 27 September 2019 (UTC)
Hello, Wildarms007,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username SportingFlyer and it's nice to meet you :-)
I wanted to let you know that I’ve proposed an article that you started, 2021 IndyCar Series, for deletion because it meets one of the relevant criterion. The particular issue can be located in the notice, that is now-visible at the top of the article.
If you wish to prevent the deletion:
- Edit the page
- Remove the text that looks like this:
{{proposed deletion/dated...}}
- Click
Publish Changes
button.
But, please remember to explain why you think the article should be kept on the article's talk page and improve the page to address the raised issues. Otherwise, it may be deleted later by other means.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|SportingFlyer}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

1999 Target Grand Prix of Chicago moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, 1999 Target Grand Prix of Chicago, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Speedy deletion nomination of 2000 Marlboro 500
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on 2000 Marlboro 500 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.racing-reference.info/comments?id=2000-20&s=R#22. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. jaclar0529 (talk) 06:46, 15 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Daytona 500, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page David Pearson (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Capitalisation of headings
[edit]Hi Wildarms007. Thank you for your recent edits to Formula One-related articles. One minor point: section headings should be in "sentence case" (i.e. first word capitalised, subsequent words start with a lower case letter) as detailed in MOS:HEADINGS. Regards. The article 2021 IndyCar Series has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Many, many grammatical errors and essentially no important information. The 2020 season hasn't even started yet.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

Your draft article, Draft:1999 Target Grand Prix of Chicago
[edit]Hello, Wildarms007. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "1999 Target Grand Prix of Chicago".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. Thank you for creating 2020 Genesys 300.
I have tagged the page as having some issues to fix, as a part of our page curation process and note that:

Broadcaster information.
[edit]Please stop adding broadcasting information to calendars in motorsports articles. This is against Wikipedia policies. Wikipedia is not a fan guide. It is not our duty to tell fans where and when they can see a race or if they even can attend it. This sort of information is not encyclopedic for several reasons. It only has any sort of interest for a very short time. What does it matter who broadcast these events in the USA in say five years time? And even later? Secondly, this information is very restrictive since you only list the USA broadcasters in the calendars, ignoring all the other broadcasters around the world who carry them.
On a side note, please change your attitude towards other editors. Threatening other users with reporting them, accusing them of vandalism and demanding them to leave an article alone is not done. You do not have any sort of authority over these articles. I'm a very reasonable person and if you had made the effort you would have found out that I'm very much up for a reasonable, civil and constructive discussion.Tvx1 15:26, 19 June 2020 (UTC)
- Wildarms, please read WP:OWN before reverting Tvx1 again. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 14:21, 20 June 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to 2021 Big Machine Music City Grand Prix, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources. Thank you. GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 12:48, 15 August 2021 (UTC)
