CSN and NBCU

I've been going through the Comcast SportsNet articles to correct their ownership—the NBC Universal NBCUniversal site does not mention Comcast SportsNet as part of their channels, and the local sites for the CSN channels only mention NBC Sports in the headers to reflect that they're technically part of the group cause they had no choice. Hi. When you recently edited WWHO, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page High definition (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using (This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! –pjoef (talkcontribs) 14:21, 7 March 2012 (UTC)

WVBK-CA sale?

Hello; I came across an October 2011 article in New Hampshire Business Review stating affirmatively that WVBK had been sold to Bill Binnie's Carlisle One Media, but now I've noticed that you updated your notes about the sale being canceled just last December. It seems like you're much more familiar with the broadcast world than I am, so please feel free to revert that change if you have sources that contradict it. --❨Ṩtruthious andersnatch❩ 08:46, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

The only mention of WVBK-CA in that article was a quote from a December 2010 analysis by Radio & Television Business Report, shortly after filings were made to the Federal Communications Commission to acquire WVBK-CA/WVBQ-LP, as well as the WYCN-LP group of stations. However, WVBK's current owner, Vision 3 Broadcasting, filed a notice of non-consummation on June 29, 2011 — in other words, the sale of WVBK to Binnie was canceled. (NHBR apparently didn't know.) WVBK remains under its existing ownership, but WVBQ-LP was recently sold to Cross Hill Communications — which has nothing to do with Bill Binnie — in a deal that did get completed. (As for WYCN, it took a year, but Binnie did complete that acquisition.) It's all in publicly-available FCC filings. --WCQuidditch 11:19, 19 March 2012 (UTC)

I found this userbox on your user page and was gratifyingly surprised that I did! I made that box mainly for myself and never expected to come across another Wikipedian who listened to that show! :) RedSoxFan274 (leave a message~contribs) 00:06, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
