Article additions
[edit]Hi there, welcome to Wikipedia. Please consider adding at least one Reliable Source to each of the articles you create. Thank you. GigglesnortHotel (talk) 15:11, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'm trying to. Translating pages from Dutch, if the original page doesn't have a source, then I can't give much of a reliable source either.
Wauteurz (talk) 15:18, 12 April 2016 (UTC)- Just Google the term. You can usually find a link to a city website or some sort of Dutch local site that at least mentions the subject. GigglesnortHotel (talk) 15:24, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- Did so for the majority earlier today, but I'll delve more into it later. I believe I do have some verbal sources, but those aren't that easy to be considered notable.
Wauteurz (talk) 15:27, 12 April 2016 (UTC)- I added one to De Huet, for example. For cities and locations the sources don't have to be outstanding, it's really just for verification they exist. GigglesnortHotel (talk) 15:28, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- So for instance, I could link a site such as Blik Op Zuid, a local magazine, for all of the districts that are located South of the Oude IJssel, right?

Schouwburg Amphion
[edit]Speedy deletion nomination of Shouwburg Amphion
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Shouwburg Amphion requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Randykitty (talk) 16:48, 12 April 2016 (UTC)
- Rather than delete this article, I have "userfied" it to User:Wauteurz/Shouwburg Amphion where you can work on it. Wikipedia has an inclusion test called Wikipedia:Notability which is not a matter of opinion but has to be demonstrated by references showing "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Youtube, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the subject thought it significant enough to write substantial comment about? See also Wikipedia:Notability (summary).
