File permission problem with File:Air Chief Marshal Farooq Feroze Khan.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Air Chief Marshal Farooq Feroze Khan.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{permission pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. Here is a list of your uploads. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Ирука13 06:28, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have seen that you have added unverified claims that I had previously removed. Please either remove the unverified claims again, or provide reliable references for him and his brothers being hafiz, and their father being an Imam. Random YouTuber opinions are not reliable references! Rahman1212 (talk) 23:03, 15 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There is no reference by your statement otherwise that his father was not imam and is brother was not a Hafiz. WaseemAbbaass (talk) 08:33, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
You are a claimant of he and his brothers are Hafiz, and his father is Imam, so you should bring references. I am not claiming anything. I am just asking you to remove such claims for which there are no references. I will be forced to open a dispute with an administrator if it does not happen. The statement "As the highest-ranking officer, it is the most powerful position in Pakistan surpassing the President and Prime Minister." The information is irrelevant. there is no fact behind the statements. WaseemAbbaass (talk) 08:21, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Mohammad Azam Azam moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Dr. Mohammad Azam Azam. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. BoraVoro (talk) 08:12, 20 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mohammad Azam Azam requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://tribune.com.pk/story/466896/transitions-progressive-pakhtun-intellectual-dies-at-71. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hello, WaseemAbbaass. You have new messages at Talk:Asim Munir (general).
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Hi, just to let you know, it’s been 36 hours since you last reverted my edit without any elaboration on what I did as vandalism, please continue the discussion I started on the talk page. VirtualVagabond (talk) 21:02, 3 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There were no evidence/references to the additions you did to the profile. WaseemAbbaass (talk) 13:03, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, yes there was. See the edit history, if you still think there’s a problem, please use the talk page, instead of reverting my edit. Otherwise that COULD constitute as disruptive editing. Thanks. VirtualVagabond (talk) 19:24, 5 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Asim Munir's name

[edit]

Hi, why do you keep changing his name? It's mentioned as "Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah" by ISPR and NDU articles as well.

Refer to https://ispr.gov.pk/chief-of-army-staff for correct name WaseemAbbaass (talk) 15:56, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, but that's only a shortened name. Other pages refer to him by his full name, which should be used in toggle first line of the article: https://www.ispr.gov.pk/press-release-detail.php?id=5339 90.213.16.173 (talk) 09:33, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

[edit]

Information icon Dear wikipedia editor, I noted that you have reverted my edits to the page Asim Munir with the comment, "Most of the references articles does not contain name of "Asim Munir" explicility, so therefore deleted.

This is not the first incidence and you have done it earlier too. Please note that I left a note for you in the talk section of Asim Munir in section January 2024 to clearly provide description of how each reference relates to Asim Munir by name and left this comments for you, "I have listed in detail in the talk section how the references relate to the article. Please provide authentic source and reason of removing this section. I am unaware of any Wikipedia policy that prevents adding public image section to individuals holding sensitive positions."

Please use the talk section to have a meaningful discussion before deleting the section Public image. I will revert the changes now and refer to the admin if the changes are reverted without any meaningful discussion.

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Asim Munir (general), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Partition. Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
