Just thought I'd give you a heads up on this article. That unsourced statement about an upsurge in crime keeps getting added back in by that unregistered user - I'm not going to get drawn into an edit war but he seems to have bee in his bonnet over it. Martocticvs 12:17, 1 December 2007 (UTC)

CHANDLER'S FORD (AKA 'THE FORD')Why are you giving a final warning for reinstating a posting with citations?
[edit]Earlier today you reverted my posting which had citations, so I reinstated it. I think you are abusing the responsibility you have been given as an administrator by reverting posts simply because you don't like them. If you revert a posting I make with a citation again then I shall raise a formal complaint with Wikipedia with a view to getting your administrator rights removed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.195.202.55 (talk) 21:44, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, I only retracted two of the four pages from deletion. I'm not sure about the policies on this, but I'm pretty sure the discussion shouldn't be closed until the issues about the other two mods are finished (or the pages deleted since nobody even bothered to defend them). [edit]Waggers, Dave and Padraig - a while back you left some messages on my talk page supporting the idea of me going for adminship ... well I thought about it and if your support is still there I think I'd like to run the gauntlet of the process. Re: Portal:Berkshire
[edit]Hi, I see you've started work on Portal:Berkshire. I founded Portal:South East England, Portal:Hampshire and Portal:Oxfordshire. Along with the other maintainers at P:SEE, our vision is to see a portal for each county in the South East England area, the selected content of which P:SEE will then feed off of. Portal:Berkshire has been on my to-do list for a while. I know all about WP:OWN but creating portals often feels like a very personal achievement and I don't want you to feel like I'm treading on your toes - so I thought I'd better ask - would it be ok if I help out with the portal development and add a few selected items? I'll aim to use a similar set up as the ones at P:Hants and P:OX since they work well and are fairly easy to maintain. Cheers, Waggers (talk) 14:21, 28 December 2007 (UTC)
- Hi there Waggers, that's absolutely fine. I got distracted by starting a Berkshire WikiProject just after I started the portal, so feel free to do whatever you like to it! Hopefully after the WikiProject's got going I'll be able to pick out some selected material, fingers crossed featured. If I get time, I'd quite like to help out with the SEE portal, would be nice to see it featured! Many thanks, Seaserpent85 14:43, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:YFridayRevolution.jpg
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:YFridayRevolution.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 08:53, 15 January 2008 (UTC) Sorry, we weren't able to suggest any articles for you. Your threats
[edit]Great. So you keep harping on about "The Truth", bias and personal attacks and then in one post deny an established fact and engage in petty name calling. For goodness' sake, Sarah, grow up. Waggers (talk) 08:37, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- I denied no "fact". And what you choose to call "petty name-calling" (which you reported nonetheless) is a very richly deserved response to your continued threats. That ludicrous Arbcom decision only serves to facilitate your bully-boy tactics.Sarah777 (talk) 20:26, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Note: Given that Sarah is blocked and her user talk page is protected, I see no merit in responding to the above at this time. Besides, there's nothing of any substance there to respond to, just a lot of posturing and trolling. Waggers (talk) 21:35, 25 January 2008 (UTC)

How come you removed Bircham from AIV? This user made a legal threat, and per WP:LEGAL, they need to be blocked until they rescind their threat. Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 22:16, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
- Read that, but shouldn't they be blocked, since they've already received a warning for legal threats, and a final warning for an unrelated matter? Nwwaew (Talk Page) (Contribs) (E-mail me) 22:23, 25 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi. Can I suggest adding User:Molobo to the list on Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Digwuren? He was banned already for 1 year for disruptive behavior, and continues to edit disruptively. Would do it myself, but you are more neutral. Many thanks -- Chris 73 | Talk 12:01, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Hello, you declined to block Mmata3 (talk · contribs) after I reported them on WP:AIV as a spam-only account. Did you look at their contributions before removing the report from the page and slapping a template two templates on my talk page? It is obviously a spam only account, and should be blocked forthwith. Cheers, ➪HiDrNick! 16:07, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I did look at their contributions, and also their talk page. Their contributions look like those of a new editor who is not familiar with our WP:NPOV policy, not of a deliberate vandal. Try talking to them, you haven't attempted to warn them once. Reports should only be made to WP:AIV after they have edited after a final warning. Please stop wasting our time by repeatedly posting a report there before this has occurred. Thank you. Waggers (talk) 16:10, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
- I have raised the matter at WP:ANI#Adminstrator Waggers and WP:AIV. ➪HiDrNick! 16:27, 28 January 2008 (UTC)
Vandalism after the warning
[edit]Re: last edit was at 09:12, warning was given at 09:30. How is that vandalism after the warning?)
- Looking at the edit history and the talk page, I figure the AIV reporter was referring to a level 4 warning one day and three hours earlier. Doczilla (talk) 09:37, 29 January 2008 (UTC)
- Oh, I realize that, but in your edit summary you'd asked how that was vandalism after the level 4 warning. You're right about why that wasn't recent enough. In fact, there were a couple of acceptable edits somewhere in between. Doczilla (talk) 09:42, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

Wikipaedia
[edit]Waggers has violated the NPOV policy by enforcing British English spellings on at least one article, this time for the meter. While Anglophones worldwide seem perfectly capable of living in harmony, this user is creating a divisive culture on Wikipedia construed around his favorite way to spell certain words. Chinook salmon
[edit]That editor may have had a point. I've been looking into whether that was misidentified, and I see that a picture of the same fish appears on the chinook and coho pages (not just the same species - the exact same fish. check the spots). I think he may be wrong about which is which though, from what I've been reading the difference is that the chinook has spots on both the top and bottom of the tailfin, which that fish does. Going to leave a comment... well in several places. Needs an expert to check. --Bazzargh (talk) 22:46, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Waggers, Mansfield is my home town.
It is the second biggest town in the county after Nottingham itself.
Please believe me on that, we don't have much to shout about.
Equally it was famous for being the biggest town in Europe without a railway station until the mid 90's, sources of which I can happily provide.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of HOK Sport Venue Event, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: HOK Sport + Venue + Event. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.
This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 15:42, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Jack Belton
[edit]Hi I see that you speedy deleted Jack Belton, which is fine (it was someone's joke a stub on thoroughly non-notable person).
However, I was disappointed to see that you followed up by deleting a series of backlinks. The links in Members of the 13th Dáil, Members of the 14th Dáil, Members of the 15th Dáil, Members of the 16th Dáil and Members of the 17th Dáil were all to this Jack Belton, who was for 17 years a member of Dáil Éireann, the lower house of the Irish parliament.
The article has not yet been written, but is quite proper to have redlinks to a requested article where the subject is clearly notable, a Belton is.
I have therefore restored the backlinks. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 20:25, 11 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Please read discussion pages before reverting edits. I had CLEARLY explained my reasons, and it was 100% constructive for the article. I am British, however the mass demographic use the spelling 'color' not 'colour', and the other words were changed to keep the peace as they mean the same thing but are spelt the same way both sides of the pond. - Edits that are apparently the result of a talk page discussion and don't refer to that discussion in the edit summary are unhelpful. I was RC patrolling and saw someone changing English to Americaneze for no reason other than "more people speak it", which is against policy. On that basis I was correct to revert and warn.
